All I really want.....!

I'm getting really frustrated. All I want is to be able to add an event or a to-do task to my calendar, using any one of the three calendars I have: Google, Outlook (Office 207 on my PC), and Jorte (on my Samsung Galaxy S2 and my Asus Transformer Pad TF-300) and be able to synch them all to show up on all three. Apparently this is too much to ask because it simply won't work, unless I'm doing something wrong. So far, the events do show up.... eventually, despite me clicking Synch Now, but the tasks will not synch AT ALL.

Does anyone have any advice? I'd be forever grateful.

Well for starters Google Tasks were never really designed to sync with Outlook in the first place, and almost all Android apps for to-do sync to Google Tasks. I pretty much gave up on it and started using Astrid on my PC.

Try Gogtasks. Its supposed to sync Google Tasks to Outlook but I never tried it coz its paid. I don't want to pay for something like that. Astrid manages my tasks easily enough. Basically you install it on your PC, set it up, and leave it alone, just like Go Contacts Sync. It will sync tasks between Google and Outlook in the background.

You could also try using Companionlink. That's an offline via USB syncing of your phone to Outlook.

I know nothing about Jorte but if it syncs with Google tasks successfully then I'd suggest using gSyncit to sync from Outlook to Google tasks.
I use it together with https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.teamtasks.tasks.paid on my phone and it works perfectly.
gSyncit also syncs contacts, calendars and note (through various services). I'm not associated with it other than as a satisfied customer of 4+ years with 3 licences

When you say "Google Tasks" are you referring to Google Calendar? I don't see a separate entity titled Google Tasks anywhere. I tried Astrid but uninstalled it. I was hoping to find an integrated solution.... one program/application that would work as both a calendar and to-do list. I think I'll have to give up on the to-do list and just use paper and pencil. The calendars do work, just not the to-do lists.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Just seen this post - if my memory's correct gSyncit will let you sync tasks from Outlook into a dedicated calendar. So if you don't mind having tasks in a separate calendar within your Google calendar that could be an option for you?

Its part of Google Calendar, as shown in my screenshot:

Astrid is a tasks only app, not calendar, but it can interface with your calendar app so that the tasks will show up there. Other "business calendar" apps like Jorte are able to do what you ask, a single app that handles both calendar and tasks, and I think it is able to sync both to Google Calendar and Google Tasks.

Yes, I got the Google Tasks, then, but can't get any apps to synch with it. I've tried Astrid but deleted it as I couldn't get it to synch. Maybe I'll reinstall it and see what I'm doing wrong. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled Jorte as I really like it, even without the tasks bit.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. As I said, my calendar events show up, synch up, and are managed easily. It's just the tasks that I have a problem with. Sigh.... guess it's back to pen and paper.
