No no, you misunderstood... its not 7mb... it is the version for Windows 7.
All joking aside, though... I wondered the same thing. Regardless, it will be here eventually, and it won't be insanely slow like it is now.
The other thing that had me scratching my head is that you have to launch an app that contains a launch button to launch the browser. Not knowing anything about building apps, I started wondering if this was something to do with debian? Maybe the firefox version is running inside debian.
I believe most of it is due to the ability to use any one of the addons you can find for the full version. I don't need any of the addons, so fennec would be just as good as full firefox for me.
I gave it a shot. I think it will be nice once sped up, but it is REALLY laggy at this point. The worst part is launching it...You get a black screen for a bit, so your not sure if it's working...Great effort though, and I'm sure it will get faster. I think Mozilla is working on their own version as well...
