Help Switching from Wifi to Mobile Data Problem

Hello my fellow Android users,

I am new to the world of Android and I am the proud new owner of a Samsung Galaxy s3. Unforunately I am having one issue. When I am at my house and connected to wifi listening to music everything works fine. When I leave the house with my music on and I am not near my WiFi my mobile data is not kicking in. The 4G symbol is in the taskbar and I can go to different websites but apps like music player (cloud music) spotify and youtube will not work unless I manually disconnect Wifi - or disconnect or re-enable mobile data.

Any clue what the issue could be?

Yes it is - and when I get in my car to leave my house the music stops - I can't skip the track in spotify without it saying that there is no internet connection. I even tried to play a youtube video and it would not load - I then tried to play a song in the music player and that would not work.

Which I thought was weird clearly since the phone says 4g at the top

I pulled up websites in the internet browser and they loaded fine - but as far as spotify, music player and youtube they would not work until I manually went in turned wifi off and disconnected -reconnected mobile data.

ya sounds like it doesnt like an active app switching from wifi to 4G
