2)Open it with winrar or anything else similar to that.
3)navigate to drawable-mdpi folder.
4)find zzz_stat_sys_signal_g named file.
5)open it with gimp / paint.net.
5.5)Rub the whole image via eraser :D
6)Resize it to 1x1 res.
7)save it.
8)Throw the SystemUI.apk u just modified via adb . or replace it and give proper permissions .
That's it you are done . Reboot.

Press thanks if this helps you.

Silverlight does not have any file named zzz_stat_sys_signal_g :|

Thats because zzz <--- file header fixture is only found in ROM's developed in ChenZeng China.

For Silverlight and other Indonesian and Indian ROM's, try finding just stat_sys_signal_g.png or even sys_signal_g.png...

Or else you know, try using a Thumbnail mode to view all the images before hand, wherever you find a "G" or "H" or "2G" or "3G". Just open it with Gimp and press Ctrl+A followed by Del.

Press Ctrl+S and you're done, move on.. repack and you're done... :)

If it's Silverlight or some of these ROM's then there is another COPY of those signal files too in the framework-res.apk, systemui.apk <--- in case of MMX stock and mtkframework-res.apk.

So, better check all three and use the "DEL" key for all the Unwanted Symbol PNG's you see... :)

All the Best
