Where are camera photos stored?

I just installed Astro File Manager, and I can't find where the Eris stores photos taken with the camera. I have a folder called 'Photos' on my SD card, but that only has photos I copied to it from my PC. (so I could use them as wallpaper). When I use the Albums app, it lets me choose the Photos folder on my SD card, or a folder called 'Camera shots' with 29 photos in it (that I took with the Eris camera), but I don't see that folder anywhere with Astro , even when trying a file search.

If they are stored in the internal memory, I'd like to move them to the SD card.

Thanks!

I have managed to take a picture without an SD card once. I guess it was on the phone's memory or something. I was able to transfer it to a PC and everything. After that, I got an error saying I couldn't take a pic without an SD card.

As for the pictures' directory, yes, DCIM is where it's at. I don't know what renaming it will do, but I assume the Albums app is programmed to only look in that directory.

DCIM stands for "digital camera images", the folder follows the "Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association" (JEITA) naming specification for digital still cameras. If you rename it or delete it the camera will create a new one when the next picture is taken. You can create other folders and name them anything you want, the Albums app will find all pics stored on your card no matter where they are. I have created folders named, family, pets, vehicles, women, misc (so far) and move my shots to them every so often. They show up as separate folders in the Album app.

Had the same problem. Very frustrating but found them using Astro in the emmc/DCIM/100Media folder. Copied them from there to the SD card and then deleted them from phone memory.
Good luck
