Root MidnightRom: Jellybean [MOVED]

this rom is like giving the evo v a rise from its grave, my only complaint is the led light does not blink correctly, unless there is someway i dont know about using the settings, but im disregarding that now just because of the amazing speeds, thanks so much, keep up the good work!

change the LED color to red and it will blink normally. Only downside is that all of your notifications will be red.

here is a logcat, i made apollo crash 3 times, i tried disabling album art too.

midnight j Apollo - Pastebin.com

your battery life is still amazing as always, also im on 1/19 and i just got a voicemail notification just fine (but i am on a sprint 3d with an optimus v soul)

the headphone indicator is handy for my dark car when its in the dock. but not a big deal.

one issue gone in this compared to 101 and 102 is i recieved no provisioning text message on this one, was never a big deal, just out of the ordinary. i can pm you a screenshot if you think having that kind of info will be helpful.. i dunno what it is...

i cant take swagger out of the notification drawer, do i just have permanent swagga? lol

aokp is taking gettin used to compared to the slim base we were on, but it does have alot of handy features.

Two minor issues with 1.04 I've noticed, my clock will force close if I try to go into the alarm function (it also force closes whenever I boot my phone) and there is no 4g/wimax toggle option in the Rom Control settings. Other than that I've loving it!

EDIT: Also, bluetooth audio seems to be working! That's the last thing I was waiting for to make this my daily driver. Great rom with great support from a great developer.

I just downloaded and installed the latest version 1.0.4. This rom is great, only one minor issue. I can get into 4 ext now (last version I was not able to even open the app without it FC), when I get into 4 ext, I go to backup and click on new (to make a new backup), and it FCs again. Anyone else having this issue too?? Anyway to fix this??
Thanks

Ok ignore my last post, this one will have all my finding and Pictures to back it up with.

You can take screenshots any-ware or of anything, hit volume-down while at the same time hit power. Must be at the same exact moment. Once you see the screen shot taken you can release. Images are on the sdcard in /pictures/screenshots
Please see android screenshot

The Alarm management part of this ROM well... sucks!
joe_blow-albums-mnr-j-picture7427-alarm-1-really-big-hour-numbers-ugly.png

Really ugly the big hour effect, also entering a new alarm is harder then any ROM I have ever used:
joe_blow-albums-mnr-j-picture7428-alarm-2-entering-time-sucks-its-not-easy-its-ugly.png

You literally have to type in the time, what happened to starting with the current time?
Then if that's not ugly enough the lock screen event is as ugly
joe_blow-albums-mnr-j-picture7429-alarm-3-lock-screen-alarms-got-off-you-look-its-ugly-big-hour.png

Sorry, is there stock piece of code that can be swapped back in from CM10?

Ok now on to lock screen it looks good except for one thing. here I am playing a mp3 from new Apollo app. Phone goes to sleep, I hit power to wake
joe_blow-albums-mnr-j-picture7432-lock-screen-2-again-notification-should-not-muted-tinted-so-much-wist-playing-mp3-in-apollo-lock-screen.png

Problem is that the "lock screen widget" is too muted or tinted. A little tint is ok, that's hard for me to see an impossible in sunlight. Here is another example this time from Dogcatcher playing a podcase:
joe_blow-albums-mnr-j-picture7431-lock-screen-notifications-way-too-muted-dim-dogcatcher-wist-playing-podcast.png

Now on to some positive feedback, the new controls allow for the "swipe down" to be re-configured, which in my option is very COOL!
joe_blow-albums-mnr-j-picture7430-swipe-down-wow-its-really-awesome-now-103-i-like-lcars-trek-look-functional-feel-what-swagger-really-can-changed.png

Ok this maybe ugly to some but I'm a fan of LCAR-Trek like stuff and this if extremely usable.

Note ( looking at the StatusBar from the Alarm images above ):
1) Headphone indicator is still missing
2) Color control of Wifi or 3G is set to green but is still displaying blue

Lastly the "StatusBar Toggles" can "Swagger" be removed? My research shows it's does nothing and is an AOKP inside joke. For that matter for a cleaner experience can the AOKP logos be removed? To make the the clean Midnight ROM it truly wants to be.:D

The alarm app is the stock 4.2 app. I do agree, it kinda sucks lol. I'll change it next version
Inside Android 4.2: The new clock app | Android Central

Not too sure why the widgets would be like that on the lockscreen. There's transparency options in rom control for it

I'll look into the colors of the icons.

ANNND I'm trying to remove the swagger thing lol. It's stupid, I know :p

I had that same problem so I went into settings>apps>all and cleared the Data on the clock and it seems to work fine.

I love the new alarm app. I'm gonna pull it and keep it if your gonna replace it.

And for some reason Spirit FM does not work properly. It turns on and gets a signal but I get no sound from the headphones or the speaker.
Someone posted about an FM Radio and this is the only one available as the Sense versions seems to incompatible with everything but Sense. I did some Googling and that is all I can find.

I am having one issue, not sure if anyone else is. I can't text out. I can receive texts just not send. I tried 1.0.3 last night first, no sending texts just error 97 cause 02, I went back to Midnight 1.3.8 nandroid backup and still no texts.
After that went to sleep tried again when I woke up and it was back working.

I put 1.0.4 on tonight and same thing no outbound but not getting the error code just red x. I am going to let it stew overnight and see if it starts working.

I did full wipe before each and dalvik/cache after just in case. I am s-off with full evo3d changes done on 1.04 hboot. hopefully its just glitch on VM side that clears up. I didn't try mms only simple "test" texts, although handcent has troubles sending/receiving mms for me anyway.

Update: Text is working now but notification just has solid light not blinking.

First of all, thanks to the dev for making such a superb rom. I tried a lot of other JB roms out there (CM10, 10.1) and I've found this rom to be the most responsive, bug-free and feature rich while being light on resources. It has become my primary driver.

However, I had one question, I flashed this rom just last night and straight away I noticed that even after flashing GAPPS, this ROM doesnt have Google Maps or navigation installed. While I can grab Gmaps form the app store, the fact that I couldnt see navigation available for install on there concerned me a little as I use my phone as a GPS very frequently and was wondering if I could depend upon it when I make my roadtrip to New Jersey tomorrow.

I downloaded and tested GMaps/Nav yesterday and had zero issues
