I need to do a factory reset on my HTC One S but if I go to settings and Storage there is no option to do this to select Factory reset as some people suggest.
I have also tried to turn the phone off, then hold down the volume button and then the power button but this just turns the phone back on?

Any ideas??

Hi Andyf85. Welcome to Android Forums. If you follow the below.. exactly, you should achieve the the factory reset you desire. Good luck and thanks for joining the community.

1.Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then press and hold the POWER button.
2.Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
3.Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button

Try this :

power off device
press and keep pressing "vol down" key
press power key for 1.5 sec
keep pressing "vol down" key until you reach "bootloader menu"
proceed as instructed in prev post ^^ :D
