Has anyone used the joyn app overseas?

Been wondering the same thing, taking a trip to Jamaica and if I don't get a S4 by then I'll be using joyn if not the digicel plans are cheap enough down there. Be using an iPhone 4 :afraid:

Yeah I will test it tomorrow over there fingers crossed now what digicel plan is that? Over there I think there's one cdma carrier but I have never heard of anyone using a metro phone out there

That sounds great! Wait does the person you call need to have the app or you could call anyone ? Sorry i ask too many questions but i have an app called viber and it is somewhat restrictive on who you can call and text.

No problem glad to help no the person does not need to have the app installed I made some more calls is a cool thing is like I'm in my house back in the states no issues but text are not going through I will find out

T mobile does something similar, wifi calling they call it, only phones that are compatible with it will use it though, basically if your cell network is unreachable but wifi connection is calls will go out and come in just fine. This, as is joyn are carrier implemented features so its not like an app on the playstore that may or may not work as intended.
