Warning neither myself nor the providers of this file are responsible for any thing broken before or after you use this File.
i am not a DEV nor do i play one on TV This file is provided as is.

That said if it fixes something Hit the Thanks Button no need to post a Thank you it waste resources.

This is not meant for ODIN. it is a simple CW recovery Backup with a flashed root preactivated.
it is meant to replace the clockwork backup folder on the root of your sdcard to be used in recovery to restore.
in this case you will restore a Stock Virgin Mobile Samsung Galaxy III (SPH-L710) Rooted Pre-activated backup and all that, that it entails.

This version has superuser which has a bug in it i suggest once you are up and running to install SuperSU and replace it. (the Bug when set to auto grant it will deny) switch to prompt and load the New SuperSU simply via playstore

The clockwork recovery used was the one in the Root guide not the new one posted for our device.
inside you will find
CWM-SGIII-Stock rooted.tar This is for the SGIII
which contains
3a4e81d6b1d18c1a640eac7b30620d81.txt Simple MD5 of the text should match the archive and the Master clockworkmod folder

nandroid.md5

to use simply
1. copy your existing master recovery folder to PC or rename to something else
2. Extract the Folder and it's structure to the Root Directory of sdcard.
3. reboot into Clockwork recovery
4. Restore from SDcard and Profit.

if you get any errors about a md5 mismatch in recovery edit the nandroid.md5 and remove the md5 information and it should allow for its use.

Just to answer the few PM's publicly.

Thanks! I am downloading now and will let you know if it flashes. Any chance that you have a stock non-rooted VM backup for the L710?

To clarify, this is not a "flashable" zip file. This is a zipped archive of a stock CWM backup. You will unzip the contents and place in your clockworkmod backup folder on your SD card and restore with CWM :)
