look familiar to you guys?? does me. i wouldnt take one if they gave it to me at $15 a month.. LG Optimus F3. Get a no contract plan with unlimited data and messaging. |Virgin Mobile USA

used to be big on lg. loved the optimus v...but lg has taken steps backward in being development friendly and i see no reason to think otherwise with this repackaged turd.

f3...nice catchy keyboard command themed name...ctrl,alt,delete would have been more appropriate.

I don't know...dual core processor, 4" hdpi res screen, ships with JB... Definitely nicer than the One V or the Elite spec wise. Not too horrible of a price point for what it is. But would I buy it? No.

it looks like an elite/optimus m,similar specs except for larger screen and a few other added changes. and i bet lg/vm has done a number on it when it comes to development, rooting, etc. maybe its just me..i just do not care for LG devices any more.

...I don't mean to be rude, but did you misread the specs? The Elite has a single core 800mhz processor, the f3 has a dual core 1.2ghz one. The elite has 512mb of ram, f3 has 1gb. Screen size is off by .5 inches and the resolution is 480x800 compared to the 320x480 on the elite? This device has a front facing camera and shoots 1080p video. This device comes with Jellybean AND LG's Optimus interface, the elite has neither. In fact the ONLY similarity I see is the 5mp camera? And from what I've heard the camera on the f3 is better. ( we all know mega pixels don't mean too much)

Yeah i guess Lg devices might not be the greatest but they are lightyears ahead of kyocera. altleast the Lg has an unlocked bootloader. take a look http://androidforums.com/rise-all-things-root/681059-bootloader-unlock-team.html

Looks like a good phone. If it has development I might start saving up.... or just get the L9 or N4 for T-Mobile $30 plan

Those 30 dollar Tmobile plans are pretty sweet but coverage with Tmobile without roaming might be bad. Still next phone is with those $30 plan even if development is bad.

Also nice to see VM is advertising there 4G all other the place in my area and there is not a lick of it anywere...

no your opinion is valued. it is why i posted the topic. and my comment on them being similar was in the cheesy plastic back and over all appearance being similar..i would still bet that on the circuit board level there is some similarities in the three devices and until i see some development on it that is real. i wouldnt have one. i know virgin mobile and they probably have that device so loaded down with garbage bloatware that even with the improved specs,it will run like crap.

well the last two LG devices ive owned were beasts to deal with and LG offered no assistance any more or less than kyocera would have or has for that matter. an unlocked boot loader doesnt mean much when they do other things to hinder device use. and in case of the elite and optimus m they made things difficult by doing all sorts of crap to the device in order to prevent any development and then released otas that did nothing but cause issues on dev'd phones..i mean the updates were for absolutely nothing else but that. not very friendly. as for the kyocera response, well i never expected much from those guys..the same cant be said for htc, they dont let the carrier dictate those sort of issues on their devices and they didnt let virgin mobile either. at least in that situation i would say htc is heads and shoulders above lg and kyocera.

Kyocera sells crap phones and in many ways violate terms of using android on their devices. They dont release anything development wise as far as I know, even if it is requested. And they actively release updates to hinder device use. LG has been doing that as well in regards to borking devices by changing essential operations of the device in software updates.. And to be honest,so has HTC in conjunction with virgin mobile. HTC has released several hboot updates for the One V that completely make using development roms a waste of time and a big fat hassle. Google needs to assert its authority in this area.

Well so far this phone is nice. Very speedy very good screen size. Im loving jelly bean. Not much bloat ware. Most the preloaded virgin crap can be uninstalled. Plenty of internal storage 1. 25 gb. After downloading my normal apps i still have 1 gb left on internal storage. The resolution is way better than the elite. Any questions then please ask I'll try to give good answers.

Couple questions. I know this has an SD card slot, but one be added for more app storage? And can you post a quadrant score?

Thanks in advance :D

From what I can tell apps are stored on internal storage only no option to put on sd card. (Which does suck) uploadfromtaptalk1374544292152.jpg
