problems in call while talking??

alright so I bought a refurbished droid from ebay seems to be in great condition besides that the ear piece sounds blown but I can get past that. While in a call though I can feel the phone vibrate and all of the sudden the person on the other end of the line can hear me and I can't hear them when I pull the phone away from my ear I notice its back at the home screen and I have to click the phone icon and return to the call and then they can hear me. anyone have this problem before? might there be a hard key like the volume rocker that causes something like this? or maybe the 4 dedicated "hard" keys at the bottom? Im new to this phone and any help would be much appreciated. thanks

happens to me all the time. It is either because you have long hair, or because you dont hold the phone at exactly the right angle. haha

What I started doing was holding only the very top edge of the phone to the very top of my ear and angle the rest of the phone away from my face.

Just keep as much of the phone away from your face as possible...

Yes i'm having this problem and verizons still trying to figure out why it's happening if you get an answer before me please let me know. I get about 5 dropped calls within a hour of talking to someone.

I have asked before, they tried to replicate and couldn't. when I showed them, the just said its how I hold it. So I guess justhold it diff.

yea I have longer hair and when I hold it away from my face very carefully it doesn't seem to happen but its very annoying and makes me and my droid look bad.
