Hiya

I *should* be getting my note 3 within the next couple of months, so I've started getting some things so that I have them ready when I get the phone.

I was just wondering if anyone had used these?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/iloome-ScreenMate-Tempered-Protector-Oleophobic/dp/B00F4I4YE6

I saw good reviews on YouTube and things, but I had a friend in a Verizon store in America that told me that a lot of these kinds of protectors can really damage the phones screen.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thank you!

I've been using the Spigen version (Amazon.com: Spigen Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Screen Protector Glass [GLAS.tR SLIM] Rounded Edges Tempered Glass Screen Protector Clear for Galaxy Note III - GLAS.tR SLIM: Cell Phones & Accessories) on my N3 for the past 3 months, and it's been the best screen protector I've ever had on any smartphone. Great touch, the S pen works great on it, no scratches, and the rounded edges look cool. Haven't done a drop test yet. I think a good, clean installation on the phone is maybe a little more difficult with a more rigid tempered glass protector, plus I've heard you really need to make sure the screen is clean before installation in order to insure proper adhesion. I ended up with 2 small unnoticeable air bubbles on mine, and final adhesion was perfect.

I'll be interested to hear what kind of screen damage the tempered glass protectors have been causing --- I've heard of none.

I got one of these exact ones for Christmas from my daughter. I have yet to fit it. I hear it feels like the screen is still "naked" and everything works brilliantly, but I'm loathed to use it for two reasons. One if it doesn't feel naked I'll detest it, and want to take it off, and two if I do take it off will the adhesive residue come off without major "scrubbing".

Not sure why your friend would say this, but I have the iloome screenmate flex for my note 3 and its perfect no problems.

iloome Galaxy Note 3 Screen Protector - Premium Flexible Glass

The iloome screenmate flex is a 8H and the iloome you are asking about is an 9H the difference in the two are of course one is thinner. The flex is flexible and the screen looks awesome with this tempered glass. Plus it is hard for you to tell there's a screen protector on my phone. My co-workers who has the note 3 order the flex after seeing my phone. The price was awesome $17.00 I bought 2 lol.

Now I also order the spigen Glas.Tr. from amazon!!

Galaxy Note 3 Screen Protector GLAS.tR SLIM Premium Tempered Glass - Galaxy Note 3 - Galaxy Note - Samsung - Brands | Spigen

You can order both tempered glass from amazon

Tell your friend that if he drops his note 3 and crack his screen it will cost him $100 just to replace the outer screen but if he cracks both the outer and inner screen it will cost about $275 to replaced both screen. My daughter cracked both of her screen on her S4 and that's how much she would have to paid to replace her screen. It may cost more for the note 3 the screen is bigger.

P.S. The S-pen works great with tempered glass

I'm 100% sold on the 9H. The design is much better than the 8H due to rounded edges. This is very important because the edges can be very sharp and easy to catch.
I have the 8H and it only lasted a couple months before coming apart at the bottom of the home button. I have never dropped my phone so can only assume its due to the sharp edge catching my finger many, many times. BTW Iloome won't back under warranty after 30 or 60 days, I forgot. They did offer me a 20% discount off the 9H until 12-31-13. I didn't take advantage if it, I'll just live with the damage until it begins to drive me nuts.
The 9H is so thick, I'd make sure your case can handle the fit.

I just installed the identical screen protector and couldn't agree with you more. No one could ever tell it was even installed with the neo hybrid installed.

The entire N3 looks totally stock, but is 100% protected. :):):)
