Ported TWRP with the help of Slayer72 (or rather impedance lol) but we got a working TWRP ported to the Rush

http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/215 thanks to Dees_Troy (creator of TWRP) this project is now official Odin tars are now downloaded at this page for future reference

Recovery Flashable zips:
flash to TWRP from CWM: TWRP Flashable
flash back to CWM from TWRP: CWM Flashable

Other flashing methods:
Goo manager: download the goo manager app from the playstore. Open the app and tap menu>install openrecovery
TWRP manager: also downloadable from the playstore, open the app tap advanced>install recovery then verify that it has the right device (prevail2spr) and that its flashing to /dev/block/mmcblk0p15

UPDATE: new release!!!! Fixes the zip asserts problem (still thought it was a Reverb, lol) links updated get you some fully working TWRP magic :D

UPDATE 2: Official Teamwin support thanks to Dees_Troy

source tree for this is here modded from iconvmu recovery tree https://github.com/dark-samus/android_device_samsung_prevail2spr

special shoutouts,
Slayer72 for learning a little on compiling TWRP and for the flashable zips, good luck man
Dees_Troy for officially supporting the Rush, thanks a million

does this have the same ramdisk for prevail2? if not i can split them and port to it as well. what is this based off of?

does it mount /cache and /data correctly?

The sister phone to the rush is the galaxy reverb. This was ported from their section. :)

it seems that we're having an issue flashing zips because of asserts not being right... every attempt to set them right has failed so far.... editing the OTA assert in BoardConfig.mk doesn't do anything seemingly.... so for now you'll need to edit OTA asserts to flash ROMs hopefully it'll get sorted out soon...

EDIT: this was worked out in the newest release (download in OP)

The main question I had was if we can install zip files that were made for cwm. I know on previous phones, files were not compatible with different recoverys. I like twrp but dont want to install it to find I cant install zips anymore.

They both use the same style "update.zip" format. So yes, zips that were made for cwm also work with twrp :)

dark_samus, Slayer72, this is awesome work!! Had to fight with the button combo a few times, but wow...this is SWEET!!! Sorry if I seem a bit overexcited, but this is now the second device that I have experienced this awesomesaucity on. This is an excellent recovery, far more streamlined than CWM, if you ask me.
