Root Nexus 7 2012 - 5.1 ROM?

I just updated this tablet from 4.4.4. to 5.1

It was easy todo, all with fastboot.

-Installed TWRP
it asked to install SuperSU
then after boot asked to update SuperSU UI

This was easy, done and worked perfectly.


So, next is a ROM.

Is there a ROM that is being used, works, with 5.1?

i dont want to downgrade to KitKat, its just a tablet, if it was like my phone, then id do it. but it being a tablet, id rather just keep running the stock 5.1, Rooted, until a custom rom comes out.

Been wondering the same thing for a long time. Seems there is not much support for the 2012 N7. Downloaded DU for it and even though it runs better then stock, it is still not much to brag about, still very laggy. Can't afford another tablet right now so I hope I can find a ROM that runs smooth as silk on my N7.

Download the 5.1.1... Ppl say its a bit faster... But not much, which means, sure it's faster when you clean flash it...format..etc, anything will be.

Need a clean rom like I had for my Asus tf300

Looks like only support is from cyanogen

I use the latest version of CyanogenMod on my N7-2012 and it works fine. Just make sure you have the latest TWRP.
