Giving Your Gear VR Personality

Since most of us will be wearing our Gear VR in public at some point, I thought I'd share how I gave mine some personality. This VR cover didn't cost a lot and will protect your VR from scratches, while looking good. I went with the carbon fiber design. (It does look good.) Here's the link. Do a search in Amazon for other designs.

In PUBLIC! Are you insane? What possible outside venue could you wear these things at? They're for home use. I do like the idea of giving the goggles personality though.

No to your question. You fall to see the value in Gear VR. I've used mine at work and will when I travel on a plan. I will take it to family functions for others to experience.

lol you'd look really stupid wearing those in public.

Maybe, but its only going to bother those that are insecure as to how they look. (To which I'm not) I'll bet you people will be interested to know what it is and even try it out. hay If, I'm going to wear it, might as well make it look interesting and get a good laugh.

I use mine to drive into work. Turn on the external camera and freak people out who drive next to me.

That's funny. Won't do it, but funny.

I may have come off a little trollish with my reply but since reading your intended usage I understand now. When you wrote "wearing our Gear VR in public'" all I could think was someone sitting on a park bench with them on waiting to get mugged or riding on public transportation also waiting to get mugged. Wearing them at work or bringing them to family or other social functions are not insane things to do.

I totally understand. I wouldn't wear mine on a public train or park for the very reasons you mentioned. Its really easy to get lost in VR and not being aware of your surroundings. I have found that when I'm playing games in VR, I really lose track of time. I have to set an alarm to let me know when its time to leave VR.
