The HTC 10 will be released very soon. I'm wondering how many people here have order one or plan on picking one up!

Waiting on VZW here. Supposed to be on display today or tomorrow, with Pre-orders available then. I'm definitely retiring my m9 and ordering.

*runs off to check vzw website again.

@joshuadjohnson22 posted the following on an XDA Developers forum:

"You know half the fun of preordering phones is the hype before you get it. Where else could you spend hours lurking on a forum and refreshing your order page a million times in hopes to see the word shipped. You know deep down you'll miss it when it's gone."
I've never been able to view my order page and HTC says that's because I used PayPal credit and didn't create an HTC account. Maybe that's a good thing because I would have wasted a lot of time refreshing the order page. I'll just try to wait patiently for the email saying my order has shipped.

Bobby (sorry for calling you "Don"), I plan to pre-order from VZW website today, to replace my 3 yo HTC One M7. It's $199 for 2-year contract. Yes, I'm locked to the VZW system, but I've had the same lock on my M7 for the past 3 years. Allows me to keep my VZW phone number while traveling overseas (and yes, I have to pay expensive VZW roaming charges).

I see it retail for 650 as well, whioch is nice.

Doesn't even give me the option to pre-order yet, but does show on site

This is my first time buying off contract. Things just came together for once. Not sure who I'm going to get a sim card with data from yet.
One of the great features of an unlocked phone is that you can try different no contract carriers to find which one works best for you. I'm currently with MetroPCS (owned by T-Mobile). Cricket (owned by AT&T) is another good company, although Cricket has speed caps of 8Mbps down on 4G LTE and 4Mbps down on 4G while you’re still within your data allowance. There is also Consumer Cellular (they were using AT&T but I think they switched to T-Mobile) and Ting (uses T-Mobile), If you're a veteran, take a look at Defense Mobile (their GSM service uses the AT&T network). Defense Mobile currently has a special offer for members of the American Legion.

Ooops. My mistake. It was $199 ... $239 with a $40 upgrade fee. Shows "estimated delivery by May 5". VZW only offered $10 trade-in for my 3 yo M7. I decided to keep it for nostalgia (smile). I'm gonna go by my local VZW store today, and hopefully will be able to hold and play with one.

I keep my phones for the same reason! haha

Still have my ReZound and Droid DNA, my m7, my OneMax, etc etc :)

Exactly - the shape of the scanner and the lack of front facing speakers makes it look like a generic android phone.

The reason I always went HTC was because they were different and were at the cutting edge of technology. To me, it looks like they've gone to appeal to the masses, which they need to do to improve their profitability as a company, but have moved away from the "rebel" brand that they were

Time to move in front of the sheep imo

Yeah - they don't look anything like each other

I went in to big red to take a look at the brand new HTC 10 today. I'll give it an 8. The front and side facing speaker system sounds out of balance to me. Maybe two years with the m8 has conditioned me to expect balance. Didn't sound any louder either.
The internet looked exactly like it does on the m8. Didn't notice a huge difference viewing the screen while playing YouTube videos either.
Didn't try any photo comparison, don't doubt the 10 takes better photos but I've been quite satisfied with what the m8 still produces. Maybe when real people put the 10 into real world use I could be swayed, but right now I'm not "WOWED"! This flagship might be sailing to Gilligan's Island. Just my opinion.

Hi Fellas! First, do you think the name HTC 10 is the binary number for HTC TWO? (That is probably an old bad joke around here by now. But, I had to get it out of my system.) I pre-ordered my HTC 10 on Friday. It will be replacing my well worn HTC ONE Max. I have a question for you guys. I want to get a microsd card for my new phone. Which would be better for this phone. Go big with a SanDisk Ultra 200GB class 10 card ($78.99), go with a faster medium sized SanDisk Extreme 128GB UHS-3 ($79.99) or a SanDisk Ultra Plus 128GB UHS-1 ($49.99) or go for a fastest smaller sized SanDisk Extreme Plus 64GB UHS-3 ($39.99)? What sized and speed are you guys considering? I want to keep the price under $100. But, I don't want something so slow it will not take the 4K video our new phone shoots. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Although this phone does not have adoptable storage out-of-the-box,I'm certain it will be an option via the Dev community,if it hasn't happened already.
If that interests you,I'd say go with the highest capacity UHS3 Card you can find. I've read it won't work with Class 10 U1 cards.

As for the 4K video,IDK if the SanDisk 200 GB is up to the task or not.

Aside from those two scenarios,I'm quite pleased with the SanDisk 200 GB,been using it for about 5 months in four different devices without issue whatsoever.
