Help Sounds not working on my Facebook app

So I just got this phone yesterday, and I really love it! I've discovered that the sounds don't work (and I'm not talking about all sounds, videos play, but everything else doesn't make any sounds, it's just silent) on my Facebook app. Like when I react to a post, comment on something, or like a comment, I get no feedback noise. I've already tried a factory reset last night and it didn't help. I can't uninstall Facebook themessage reinstall it because it's preinstalled on this phone and it will just uninstall themail app updates. These sounds worked before, but after I woke up and turned on my phone, they didn't. Any suggestions?

Sorry, maybe I'm just very tired yesterday... Could you please clarify, do you mean Facebook app or Facebook Messenger app?
