EURO 2016

Ok.. If we're going to pick sides.... I'm going for England to get knocked out in the quarter finals, and Belgium to beat Germany in the final... (France and Spain as losing Semi-finalists)

Rooney to get a red card.... and Thomas Muller to get the Golden Boot, Christian Ronaldo to catch the Golden Snitch, and Slytherin to have to most players in the final.

Really, Really, Really???? Doesn't show at all Big Mike!! You probably fancy a rousing game of cricket I imagine??? Lmao!

Yes, of course!

But nobody around these parts seems to know anything about it, or even recognises what these things are and what you'd do with them....despite my best efforts.

Although to be fair, cricket is still very popular in Hong Kong.

Mind you if you ask many around here what this is for, they'll often say Rugby. :D

BTW a few years ago the NFL wasted a heck of lot of dollars in this country. They gave up in the end.

China Bowl  ROFL!

I don't really follow football (soccer) much.

I suppose the giveaway is that China isn't in Europe and the tournament is called "Euro" 2016.

I've no love for the English fans, but in this instance, they were set about by the Russians and apparently the policing at the game was terrible. That being said, pretty much every major tournament England fans are involved in trouble so they make themselves an easy target. It's a minority that are ruining it for the decent folks that just want to watch a game of football.

I know, I couldn't believe that statement. Totally irresponsible, and inflammatory comments from someone in a position of power and influence. Makes you wonder if this is a state organised effort to discredit England, and potentially get them kicked out of the tournament.

Yes with all the trouble over the athletics, it does seem to make sense. I mean the violence from the Russians just seems a little *too* organised doesn't it?
And England fans must be very careful now, not to get drawn into another confrontation. It could mean the end for the team. Tricky situation.

You would think so Sr. Presidente but not always, lol. As I said in my first post I'm an instagator and also have a BIG Italian mouth, lol, so whenever people are arguing about football/soccer here in Spain I always side with Italy and since I'm from the States when the conversation gets heated people will always ask me when was the U.S. won the Euro Cup to which I'll reply "never" because we aren't allowed to play it! Lol. As a side note Sr. Presidente I would like to see Strachan and Co. do well though seeing that this is their first time to the dance!!!!;););)
