Help Is the a way to move my text messages from my Mot Droid to my INC

Is the a way to move my text messages from my Mot Droid to my INC.

Can I copy them from one place and drop them into the INC?

Not quite sure what the best method is, but I used MyBackup Pro ($4.99) to transfer all of my contacts, apps, SMS & MMS, call log and some settings. I was able to transfer 90%+ from my Moto Droid to my Inc. . . . The most expensive app I've bought to date, but it now supports Sence, etc. and it was well worth the $5 vs. my time to manually transfer everything.

thanks for the info on that. But lets say i am feeling a little cheap and all i needed to do was transfer 10 txts how do you do that manually?

You can do it with a Gmail sync or take them to a Verizon store they have a device they use to clone one phone to another regardless of brands or types.

How do i do this with gmail sync? isnt there a folder on the droid where i can cut and then paste it into the a folder on the INC?

use bitpim(if your old phone is not a smart phone) to extract these messages from our old phone as a csv file, and use sms importer lite(free) to import them, works like a charm. Free versions limitaion is 100 smss, but if you have more just break up your csv in to several files.

when I moved from the Moto Droid to the Incredible.

can i get it off the "market" is appbrain safe?

if i can get it from "market" what does it do make a back up file that i can drop and drag from SD card to SD card something like that?

I starting using Appbrain when I first got my Incredible... it is amazing.

I use Handcent Text Messaging program, but pretty much all the text messaging programs you put on this phone all share the same texts and where they are centrally located.

I would have to refresh my memory how I did, but its pretty self explanatory from what I remember. If I find instructions online I'll post up the link.

now to use appbrain or not. do u link it to your gmail account?
