Who else really wants this phone?

The V20 is currently my #1 device to swap to. I am shopping around becasue I'm done with my note 3 - it was nice but the samsuck software smurfs up a wet dream.

so not ever buying another samsung device - and yes I like the spec and idea of the note 7 - exploding battery and all - but I wouldn't even take a free samsung device. so no.

Moto Z play was going to be my #1 until it was announced with the snapdragon 652 vs an 82X chipset system - so cut down version. I gave a few moments of thought to getting the VZ model since it's the hot one but I didn't really want another locked branded phone.

sadly that's what worries me about the LG v20 - I will end up buying a locked, branded phone if I get one since they've already said there will not be a unlocked universal phone. I might swap to ATT or T mobile though - so there is that

I am considering the V20 with the Wide Angle Camera being one of the reasons. I use a GoPro for work to shoot pictures and it would be nice to have this feature in a phone.

But coming from a Nexus 5 I am having a hard time considering going to a non stock Android software. So I will wait to see what is announced with the new Pixel XL but I think that with all the leaks that there is no chance for a wide angle camera.

Also keeping my eyes on the Project Tango phone if they announce anything at their upcoming event.

Only upgrading because they are not going to upgrade the Nexus 5 anymore.

I was waiting to see what the Pixels would bring, but now there is no competition: still sad to leave HTC behind, but the V20 is the only available TMo phone to interest me. I won't pre-order, but plan to purchase as soon as some user reports confirm that it's as good in person as it is on paper. Getting excited about it!

Some AT&T (company owned) stores already have the V20 on display. You can check it out there (albeit with the AT&T bloat).

I went to my local AT&T store and played with the V20 for about 30 minutes. That was enough time for me. I just preordered the unlocked version from NewEgg for $799. Comes with a free PowerBank and Gpad tablet.

I think they nailed it with the size, kicking audio, great cameras, removable back, battery and expandable memory. I was going to go with the pixel xl, but there were a few things missing like the expandable memory and OIS that I wanted. Very nice phone tho.

V20 is definitely a solid device. I've had the V10 and I liked that very much as well except for the harline cracks on the screen lol. I think that was due to a manufacturer problem. However, overall it has been a great device so far and based on the reviews and all... V20 seems to be a very solid device! My big brother has the 7plus at the moment and I couldn't hate it anymore to be honest. It's always the same UI/Interface and it's getting real old. The os sucks realllll bad. It's no different than a 6 or 6s in my opinion. So nope.... Not worth it to me.

That is exactly what I did when I activated my Nexus 6. Since then I have moved to at&t, and they had no problems with it.

OK, thanks. Unless the VZW pricing is way less than what B+H/Newegg is selling it for, I think I may go that route. The only fly in the ointment is that I have a Samsung 7 Edge that was a replacement for my Note 7, and VZW would have to allow me to return the 7 Edge. The people on the 800 number were not committal when I asked about doing that, hopefully my local store will be a little more helpful.

B+H has the phone available as well, and it shows it will work on CDMA, but they have a caution to make sure that your carrier will allow the phone to be activated on their network. So if I buy my phone from B+H or Newegg, will I be able to activate it on Verizon?
Good point, T-Mobile is selling it for 770 with the ear phone but I wonder if it has bloatcrap on it. Thanks for the info.
