Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Question...

If i ordered my phone on friday and they told me it was shipped by 6/1
and the site just changed to 6/8
does this mean my phone won't be here till then?

I was told by a guy at the verizon store that this could affect me since they are missing parts for the super amoled screen..

The reason why i asked is because i paid two year pricing for my kin two and they are doing an exchange for the incredible at the same price.

If this is true, then I would probably return my kin two to go ahead and pay the deactivation fee(i owe like 180)

i have my sprint hero and since i am still in my 30 days, i was going to return and wait out for the incredible but if the new 6/8 date affects me, i could cancel my verizon line and just get the evo...

I think that yours will be available by 6/1 based on the response to my email that I sent to Vz Monday (on track to be shipped by 5/29, but likely 6/2 due to Memorial holiday).

But, I don't give reply much weight.

what ever day the site showed when you ordered you phone is the day you SHOULD have it by. Most people get their phones a little before. If you dont have it by that day and you call them, they will probably offer to discount the price for you.

Damn, this really sucks. I called up CS, and managed to bump up my contract renewal from June 19th to May 19 (cant afford retail price...). This will really be a bummer if after all the effort getting a month-early upgrade goes to nothing in the end...

Yeah... I got my date moved up from "June 29th" to "May 10th"

Im still waiting...

I ordered mine online on 5/11 in the evening. I shortly received a processing email after placing the order stating that I would receive my order within 2-3 business days. With it being the 4th business day yesterday, I called to verify if when would be the possible delivery date. Customer Service told me that they did not have a tracking number for my order but they DO have them in stock. So my order may be shipped within a day or two. Customer Service also advised that I could try calling FedEx to see if they have an tracking number in my name but no luck. They didn't have anything in my name yet. I'm hoping that it is shipped out soon and I receive a tracking number. I'll keep you posted.

I have had a crazy experience. I ordered the dinc in the Verizon store on 5/8. I was told by a CS rep that the phone wouldn't arrive till 5/12. Didn't come on 5/12. I called CS and rep said it was stolen in the mailing process and they need to resend a new one. Reimbursed for the my case and screen projector for the trouble and I was told the phone would arrive on 5/14. Phone didn't arrive on 5/14. Called CS again, there was some big mix-up in my order that the rep and I went through together (long story). Any who, I'm getting the phone for free!

Currently my order is processed and awaiting shipment. They are using the 5/12 date, not the 5/8 date for my purchase.

I'm hoping it ships tomorrow, but I'm trying to stay calm considering it's now free. Still really excited to get it though.

Got a FedEx tracking number. Will be here tomorrow!

I called Verizon Internet Orders yesterday to see if my phone would be shipping anytime soon (I ordered on 5/11). The man I talked to told me that it would ship on 6/1, no later. I asked him if others were getting their Incredibles before the promise date because of the area they live in, and he assured me that "no one is cutting in front of me." Needless to say, he made me feel like a five-year-old. What a jerk.
Either way, he told me to expect my Incredible after 6/1. I hope you guys have better luck than me!

Turns out verizon reps don't have any more info than we do, and all they can do is re-iterate the due date we already have.

Guess we just have to cross our fingers and hope it comes early!

It took me 3 different calls for them to move my date up. My upgrade date was in August. Issue for me wanting to upgrade sooner was my Storm 1 screen cracked and I dropped the insurance the month before.

It just depends who you talk to. I found most reps don't even want to bother.

BTW: I ordered on 5/9 with no updates.




Just curious - I see they moved your date up by more than a month; while they told me they couldn't do that. Have you been a customer for a while, or just get a nice CSR? ;)

I also ordered on the 8th, but my status still shows as being processed :(
Will I get an email saying when it has been shipped or do I have to check the Verizon status page to find that out?


FINALLY got the email saying my phone will be here tomorrow!!! I have all the accessories and was just waiting on the phone :) There is about an hour in the afternoon when I wont be home, so it had better NOT be delivered at that time!!

If you leave a note on the door for FedEx they will still drop off the package if your not home. If your door is locked just leave a note that tells them to leave the package with a trusted neighbor or something.
