EDIT: Regular camera app isnt working either. They both open and immediately close.

Try installing Advanced Task manager and then open it and do an "end all" then try running the camera again.

Check out the Display settings, under Video out settings (HDMI). Maybe that can help with some of those people trying to get HDMI output working. there's a 720p option and a 480p.

Camera doesn't work here as well. Thinking maybe because I had another camera app while installing. Trying a hard reset now......

I had this problem too. DO NOT put the zip file in a folder. Just put it in the root directory. After this, the update should work for you.

Unrooted froyo success here.

ok, menus seem faster.
h.264 avaliable for Video
Camera and video still working, kept all settings.
Justin.tv working
LauncherPro and Home Switcher work as normal.

oh well, mine is working fine. if it blows up, that is what returns are for. if i return it maybe i'll get one of bettermost's returns...hopefully the one with the sweet glue soaked o-ring!

Can't select 720p if you select H.264 as the encoder. Only allows 800 x 480

Just something I noticed. Now text messages show you exactly how many texts are in each conversation, not just how many unread messages. I guess thats pretty interesting since I was having freezing and force close issues with the text app and sprint told me it was from too many text messages....ey.

EVERYONE - We're all going as quick as we can to help each other and this is very exciting.

Kindly slow down and please recheck the last few pages.

From what I can see, all of the answers to ALMOST all of the questions are there so far - there's just a few of us handing out install advice and it's getting hard to keep up with new questions.

AND HOW COOL IS THAT?!?

I'm just SUGGESTING that if we keep the thread size small, it'll make it easier for our compadres having to wait until later to find all the answers.

How 'bout someone starts a poll, if they haven't already, to check in our success rate?

If anyone's found the solution to the working camera issue, please note in bold letters like this.

Many people have working cameras - some not.

AND REMEMBER - THIS IS ALL AT YOUR OWN RISK, THE REAL UPDATE IS COMING NEXT WEEK.

IT MIGHT BE THE SAME AS THIS FILE - BUT WE DO NOT KNOW THAT YET.
