Anyone else having battery issues with the last nightly? I've been running into an issue with the cell standby is using > 30% of the battery and basically killing it within a few hours.
I have a i7500L (Brazil) and went from stock android to Galxo (just to see it's face... rsrss) and then to last GAOSP nighlybuild yesterday.
Until now, I'm very happy with my "new phone" with GAOSP. It looks 100% usable to me.
Now I'm thinking about to buy one external card and allow compache, just to see if it improves the overall performance (it's not bad at all, but surely slower than galaxo).
am i missing something?! how do i get the main screen to auto-rotate? i've tried looking thru all of the settings, but can't get the horizontal view at all from the home screens. it works once i'm in the menu, but not at other times. hmmmm...???
i flahed gaosp yesterday to test an app i wrote and got slightly depressed about the untimely demise of my galaxy again (http://androidforums.com/samsung-i7500/148447-trouble-my-phone.html) - now that the phone finally has the firmware it always needed it's not usable anymore
i also got an email from no-reply@android.com congratulating me on "my new nexus one" :|

In Settings > Display check Auto-rotate screen on, also in Settings > Cyangenmod > User interface you can check on Accelerometer rotation on 90, 180 & 270 degrees.
Hope that that helps.
EDIT: Max 44 MB free on new nightly, with everything on
EDIT2: The camcorder crashes after the start of recording
Same problem of camcorder here... Camera for photos still ok (and much faster than original one).
I get 30 ~ 36 Mb free RAM, with advanced task killer running... With the 614Mhz OC on, It seems very usable to me... I'm very happy with GAOSP until now...
The installed camera app and camcorder do not work as well as my purchased app (Camere 360). I use them fairly regularly so I guess it is back to the original firmware for the time being. However the GAOSP works great otherwise.
Fastest nightly yet, YAAM kept crashing so i uninstalled it, nhf
Dont use installed camera/camcorder app so i cant confirm that it doesnt work.
Battery is draining a bit faster dou, i kept my settings from previously nightlys, dont know what seems to be the problem there.
Keep on with the good work man, mass respect
