I just switched a couple of nights ago from RLS2 to RLS3. I have not changed the kernel as I want to see how the one it came with performs. So far so good. No glitches.....no issues to report. Runs very smooth. Has anyone tried the Ziggy kernels with RLS3? If so, how are they overall? Thanks.....

I am having a hard time getting motivated to see how other kernels do with rls3. I would say my battery life so far has been stellar. He must have really throttled it back when the phone is sleeping....it just doesn't use any battery on stby. Anyway, I am here to report outstanding battery life with the stock #10 Kernel!!! Props to Myn's for the ROM and to HTC for the kernel.

im sticking with rls2 mainly cause the new ota is for hardware 004 and if you dont have they hardware the release wont run as well as it should so im sticking with rls 2 and not much has changed really.

What has been other folk's experience with the new Rosie Settings? I tried to put my Camera as the right selection and I keep getting an error. I tried one other app..maybe People and got the same error. I just went back to the browser because I haven't had time to fool with it today.

Anyone else having problems?

that maybe because the 004 hardware has a new camera and the build rls 3 is for 004 hardware so unless you have a new evo that maybe why your getting errors.

I got the error when I tried changing it to the camera, but not with Twidroyd. I'm on hardware version 3.

@ Flyjbaker ... Sorry I didn't respond, I gave up and put Cyanogen Mod's ROM on, since I was already familiar with it from my Hero, and it has worked wonderfully, except for a couple of things.

1. The original "bloatware" app for NASCAR. I can't get the darn thing to run. Is there an updated one that works with Warm TwoPointTwo, and if so, where is it? I gave up on the Sprint Football app, I just use ESPN's ScoreCenter app, much better.

2. 4G. The only place I can really use it is at work (I live right outside of Charlotte, but work in the city), but would like to try it to see how much faster it really is. Unfortunately, it's not compatible with CM's ROM.

Does Warm TwoPointTwo fix both those problems?

1) The Nascar app works perfectly fine on Myn's Warm 2.2
2) 4g works fine as well...

Yes, Myns 2.2 is a Sense-ROM and has 4G working. As for the apps you mentioned, i believe they're saved in a separate folder in case you actually want to install them.

Tempting, very tempting ..... OK, silly question time. Does making a backup with ROM Manager also back up apps and preferences? Or is that a different program. I keep getting those confused.

Yes, making a backup does all that. But might I recommend you flash the alternative recovery, Amon RA, before you do a backup? ClockWork is said to not backup the WiMax information and could lead to problems(Like my first returned 4g-less Evo).

Ooo ... Would that be a problem if I just used ClockWork and not Amon before I flashed for the first time? (Wow, that did *NOT* sound the way I intended it, lol) I never got a 4G connection on the phone before I rooted and flashed it, since I don't have a 4G signal out here where I live, and rooted it about 3 hours after I got home with it. Should I re-install the stock Sprint ROM and do a backup on that after I connect to 4G, then reflash with a custom ROM?

I live in Charlotte and I assure you the 4g works quite well with 2.2 rls3

Making a backup of your current ROM and backing up your apps are two different things. You can backup your ROM through ROM Manager(or manually thru the bootloader). Backing up your apps can be done many ways....Titanium Backup is likely the most popular and definitely the easiest...although the easy version will cost you about 5 bucks.

had this rom since public release and i gotta say I LOVE IT! EVERYTHING works perfect (maps, 4g, browser, radio, etc). I've been playing around with kernels until i landed Netarchys 4.1.9 cfs (less aggressive). really a great combo... sweet battery life and smooooth performance. My 2nd fave would be ziggy's latest, it is SUPER FAST but lacks a little in the battery category(although if you don't use heavily it will drain slower than molasses through a salt-shaker whilst on standby/idle).

I think Myn intends to update the dock in the next few weeks(maybe days?) and perhaps expand it too. Great for me as i dont feel like setting up home screens with launcherpro from what i have.

I just installed this. So far seems pretty good. I have a question though ... I had fresh installed, all i did was wipe the two cache files from the bootlader. Should I have factory reset before installing this or is that all that is needed ?

Normally when I go from one rom maker to another I wipe my data as well. That removes any possibility of incompatibility between the new rom and any old data left over from the old one. If everything is running smoothly for you I would just keep going but if you start having odd problems then back up your apps and wipe data, both caches and reflash the new rom.

Since installing Myns, I've had an issue with the browser zoom. When I double tap a text, it will enlarge, but it spans past both edges of my screen instead of fitting the screen for easier reading. I don't remember other roms i've tried doing this. Has anyone noticed or is there a fix?

I have experienced the double icon issue when I flashed without wiping data. The new ROM seems to put icons in place while also keeping the icons that were originally part of the data setup.

Ah...that does explain the double icon. When I put on stock fonts, I didn't realize it was basically like flashing the ROM again and I didn't do a data wipe beforehand.

I did just start noticing Y5 wasn't working a couple of days ago. I've got a wifi switch on my main home screen, so I'll see if that starts making a difference in battery life here soon.

This is related to the font that Myn uses. If you flash the stock font or another flashable font pack this will be resolved.

Can/should i still run SetCPU profiles with this ROM and stock kernel? I use a few profiles for battery temp/remaining, and screen off. Do apps like WidgetLocker still work like they should (disabling standard lock screen)? I've just purchased SetCPU, WidgetLocker, Titanium Backup, and ROM Manager this week when i rooted. Would hate to lose functionality of them
