Root voodoo5 kernels are here

is this how i'm supposed to remove voodoo5 kernel? I'm currently running on super clean 0.5, dj05 modem, and voodoo5. and can anyone explain why super clean 0.6&0.7rom's bluetooth function not working?

1. Place voodoouninstaller in sdcard and turn off the phone.
2. hold volume up and down at the same time, and press power button.
3. load update.zip to get to Clockworkmod, and apply voodoo_uninstall_1_4
4. go to advanced menu and choose reboot recovery
5. Wipe data from stock recovery. Apply CWM. Wipe data from clockwork.
6. Reboot.

can anyone recommend easier method of uninstalling voodoo5?

YES

All I did was
1. disable (not even sure this is needed)
2. install 1129 non voodoo kernel

Down load 1129 from the links in #redrum_chaos or PM me
I just finished this 10 minutes ago and that is all you have to do. It will even put back stock recovery

Yeah after I thought about 5 more seconds I was like" its a little pc so I bet there are all kinds of writes going on behind the scenes" you got me!

I really hope you guys don't think I'm criticizing I'm really just "Brain Storming" thinking out loud you could say (maybe I shouldn't:cool:).

Maybe I'm way off base I don't know I'd love to hear your thoughts. I'd love to know what voodoo does and how it goes about it.

yeah i didnt see this thread as criticism of anything, just everyone trying to figure out why something works or doesnt :) but adryn did answer things pretty easily there

i dont think there is an uninstaller that works with voodoo 5 yet. probably going to have to use odin

yes the uninstaller is meant for old voodoo ...disabling and allowing conversion in cwr and rebooting is the way to go about it

Oh ok.....so you replaced voodoo5 by flashing another kernel......
if your theory is right, then i can also replace with stock kernel using odin then......

as long as you disable lagfix and allow system conversion and reboot then yes you can put any kernel over it....if you push the stock kernel in odin you ll have to replace it after with a DJ05 kernel though

OK it's not a theory and you don't need Odin just flash it on the phone through cwm
Also you can only replace v5 completely by flashing 1129 non voodoo or possible using Odin to restore it all back to stock. You seem to have Odin on your mind and imo you should stay away from it unless you need to. What are you trying to do just remove V5?

Ok so after I have done the test by wiping cache to see how quick that things will load my gps has pooped out on me. I went from 2-3 meters before to now best its doing is 3100 meters. Thats the only thing I can think Ive done:(

So in response to gps issue its my work. The second I pulled out of parking lot yesterday it locked at 2 meters. Then this morning when I pulled in parking lot it went from 2 meters to 3100 meters. I have decided my gps just doesn't like my work haha:D

I installed JT's Voodoo 5 12/1 test kernel last night and not because i wanted more speed. the 11/29 nonvoodoo was just fine. From a speed perspective i can't tell a difference, but the 11/29 had horrible popping and hiccups in power-amp and i went with the voodoo kernel just to see if it fixed that issue. Turns out it did, so i'm happy.

I office is a old metal building. The second I step inside the front door my gps doesnt work at all. Step 3 feet outside the door and it works perfectly. I learned that when I first flashed DJ05. I thought it hadnt fixed my gps until I was on my way home.

wow I haven't been here in so long glad there's still awesome dev work going on I'm so out of date:-( still running dirrks lv 1000 and i05 I think?
Well, well, well look what the cat dragged in. Dude you are so October with that kernel. By mid November we had better non voodoo that Dirrks stuff, and you know how much I liked Dirrks. In the past 2 weeks we have had voodoo5. You probably need to try it and see it for yourself. Equally true if you dont want voodoo5 the non voodoo stuff is still better than october voodoo.
I have been on and off voodoo5 3 times now. Which is a testament to how well and easy it uninstalls now right from the red cwm. Im currently off voodoo5 but I do advise most peeps to at least check it out to see if it performs better for them or not
