Help Htc evo problems. Yes i have a few please help

Ok, I have an htc evo flashed to metro pcs, although i dont have internet or mms because i activated it directly with metro pcs customer service *228 feature. So i only have talk and text for $35.00 a month.

1. my phone is rebooting all the time. When I have the internet button checked in settings, it constantly reboots i have to do a hard reset to get it working again. When i dont have the internet on, i can use wifi, and its rebooting maybe a few times a day.

Can anyone help with this, and i also want to know, if i do a software update will that knock out my flash? i was told if i did a hard reset that would knock out the flash which turned out to be false. There are 4 ssytem updates in settings. Firmware update, update profile, update PRL, and HTC software update. Can i update any of this stuff without knocking out the flash?

That is because you are using a buggy app which is interfering with Android. Find it and uninstall it.

Have you tried to reflash the phone? It sounds like its a problem in the flash. You may have to take it back to metro pc and have them try to fix it.

You should be fine to update PRL and Profile I would imagine. HTC Sense update could cause you problems.

The EVO was made for Sprint. So flashing it to another company is bound to have some issues. Is the phone rooted?
