Just got a nook tonight..Urgent update question.

Hey guys!

Wanted to ask a few questions about the NT.

First Off: Whats up with the newest update in terms of side-loading? Are we able to side-load from the SD Card..and what does sideload exactly mean?

How is everyone that is not root like it ?

shouldn't be able to sideload if on 1.4.1 with a brand new NT.

you can revert back to 1.4.0 if you want. go to the XDA Nook Tablet forums for info.

Does no sideloading mean we cant get 3rd party apps onto the NT or that we cant sideload anything onto the NT?

I've gt a rooted Nook Tablet running 1.4 that I can sideload to. I've disabled further updates until, hopefully, a workaround is found for later versions.

If it was updated with an OTA updates, will a factory reserved it to the OTA version, or whatbit shipped with?
