Checkin here if your happy with your Gnex and plan on keeping it.

Aside from a few quirky voicemail problems, I am definitely happy with it overall. This is my first smartphone and I am blown away at what can be done on a "phone." I feel the features are pretty well integrated. I dont expect phone cameras to have optics that reproduce stand alone cameras anytime soon so people should get over "poor" picture quality. I think the camera takes acceptable pictures. The battery life is what I was expecting from reading about 4g phones. Google Wallet is a lot of fun. Satisfied customer.

I'm just as amazed and delighted with my Nexus as I was with my OG Droid in November 2009. Sure, it's a new phone with a new operating system, so it's going to go through some growing pains as it's refined into something even better. But overall, it's a phenomenal phone and I have no regrets buying it. Keeping mine for a long, long time. :)

I'm returning it. I love the phone but the screen is absolute garbage. I don't blame Samsung or Google. I just think its the display technology that should not be used until it matures more.

I already replaced it. Im on my second phone and its actually worst.

I don't play games so I'd rather return it and go back to my Droid Inc.

Romeovoid, gmail has a pretty good search feature, have you tried that? Also, have you tried going to your email from your phone browser and just making a shortcut to it on one of your homescreens? If its a syncing issue, make sure you setup your email manually.
Thanks Connectz. Problem with gmail is that crazy thread view mandate. Makes me nauseous, and unfortunately the sync frequency is controlled by gmail servers, not the phone settings...

Incredibly thrilled for the first week, then started to experience the battery problems stemming from high keep awake times with Android OS. So I put a custom ROM/kernel on it last night, and today my battery is much better! THIS is why I got a freaking Nexus!!! The support for this thing is just off the charts.

I love mine and my wife is getting one in Feb. The phone is great. My biggest complaint is not being able to find a case that fits the case PERFECTLY with the extended battery. Hopefully they will have something out by the time my wife gets her phone and I'll give her my Otterbox Defender.

The screen, the speed, the new OS. Everything is great on this phone. I love it. It is way better than my Thunderbolt in every single way. I don't even feel bad about getting rid of my Incredible anymore. This is the smartphone I've been waiting for, seriously. I think that with a few updates this might be the phone that helps usher in a REAL competitor to the iPhone. I really believe in the Nexus devices and I am glad to have one for myself.

You bet I'm keeping it! I got my first phone on launch day and endured 13 days of "data hell" (50% noG and occasional no-voice all in the SF market) before exchanging it on the day the 4G network crumbled. Nine hours later when I could activate the second phone, it was the phone I had hoped to get in the first place. Blazing fast, smooth transitions and a great experience.

I love my phone but I think I have one of the bad ones. I get data drops ALL the time - multiple times a day! I'm just outside of my return policy to get a new replacement so if I do replace it it will be for a refurbished.

I'm hoping things will change and 4.03 will fix my connectivity problems.

It's a winner for me. Both me and the wife had an intermittent issue where text boxes would not display keyboard input (although keyboard was working as evidenced by predictive text), but we both haven't seen that one in quite some time. Ninja bug. I've learned how to cope with the speaker volume and am a fully satisfied Nexer.

I'm actually returning mine for a New replacement. I have had the phone reboot several times and my dbm readings go has follows -120, -100, -93, -83, -75 no matter how close I am to a tower. My friends Droid X was getting -56 and I was getting -93 to -75 for a second or two and his DX would fluctuate by just a few dbm where mine only reads those numbers...nothing in between. I called CS and they called my local store and have it documented to get a brand new replacement. Hopefully it will be better than this one.

I have no problem with my Work email getting pushed to my phone, Gmail works great also.

HTC seems to have a lot of QC issues with their phones. I know the EVO and thunderbolt(which I had to get exchanged 5 times for QC issues) seemed to have lots of issues( screens coming up, power button sinking, etc) those are things that should not get through like they did.

Had no issues at all with my Rezound that I had for 2 weeks. Marginal area 4G reception was superior to the Gnex and everything functioned perfectly. To be honest, if you hop over to the Rezound threads, it seems to me there are less owner complaints there about their phone than almost any other 4G phone I've seen.

With that said, I love my Gnex and will be keeping it barring some major unforeseen issue. My only complaint is the 4G reception in marginal areas, but that's a well-known issue judging from the tons of posts & many threads on different forums. Hopefully that will be improved.

All other aspects of the phone are great, including battery life.

I guess our perceptions are vastly different. I think the display is great and probably the best I've seen. I prefer it to my wife's IPhone retina display. I think the tech is mature enough. In fact I think that Samsung did much better with this display than the one on the Charge. The Charge's display was just much too saturated. They seem to have gotten the Nexus display just right.

BTW, I am an absolute stickler for displays and buy the best, priciest HDTVs.
