[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

Did Team Sourcery leave the camera sounds on permanently because of potential liability issues? There are actual legitimate situations where I would love to silence the shutter... but can't :(

For camera sounds, only thing I can think of as a workaround, is to silence your phone before opening your camera. I used the "new" camera in the ROM, and tested it a few mins ago. It hinges upon the phone volume it seems (unlike past times where I've seen it on Media). So either with the volume toggles, and take it down, or hit the Silence toggle, both worked for me to turn off the camera shutter. Sucks to have the extra step, but I guess we'll just have to make do how we can for the time being.

For the record, O-M-EFFIN-G I love this version lol. The Pulldown animations were just icing on top of an already rich cake full of goodness!

@darkcyber
Shot in the dark here but I wonder if you can't see certain files on your PC due to the "view hidden files and folders" or similar option, may not be checked? Just spitballing, not sure.

Well, I always select to show all hidden files and folders in Windows options on all my pc's. Just verified and yes I do have all those set to show everything and still can't see a lot of the stuff.

Why are so many people down on using Titanium Backup? When did that go from being the key to switching ROMs...to being something that is not recommended. I have used TiBu for years with so many phones and tablets and haven't ever had a problem.

One time...I had a corrupt app backup that would boot loop my phone...but that was a one time thing way back on my Fascinate or Thunderbolt.

Flashed 4.5 and I love it. Would love to see more subtle pulldown animations in many different colors to go with various themes. Like the default animation in white, green, orange, purple etc. That would be awesome.

Check around before you try this as I have NEVER tried this process myself...

Copy everything from data/media to dropbox...... make sure every file you want is there...... then check again.... once your sure

delete data/media and then reboot.. the file should rebuild with nothing in it but empty directories..... Copy all of your files from dropbox into data/media/o folder

Was going to try this, but the problem is when I go into Dropbox and try to upload all the files from data\media there is nothing in that directory. Dropbox seems to have the same problem as other programs and Windows...it can't see my stuff.

i had the wallpaper revert to sourcery stock wallpaper on nova just now

also, when trying other kernels, lean and trinity, they both had the heaphone jack playback issue that i had before, playback cuts off after a short while

switched back to sourcery stock kernel and it is fine

just kinda strange, guess i'll take that question to those kernel forums

Anytime you copy something from 1 rom and put it in another, you are taking a chance of corrupting the current rom.

Pulldown mods will come.. its new again and just getting started :)

You have to do this from your phone.... your computer will only see the areas you can currently get to.

I get the fact that things CAN go wrong... I just don't know that is likely to happen based on my experience with many different devices and countless ROMs. The alternative its letting the apps all redownload from the Play Store? It seems that I would flash a ROM on Tuesday and have everything back on Thursday LOL! Starting over after each major ROM update?... Yikes!

Not wanting to argue the point, I just didn't know if I was missing something due to changes in 4.1 or 4.2.

I saw that more pulldown animations have already been added. That's just a killer ass feature and I am a fan of that type of eye candy :) It would just be nice to see one or two really well done animations (simple ones...nothing extravagant) available in multiple colors (like battery mods).

Is Superwipe the best way to wipe my sdcard and start fresh? If so, anyone got a link to it? I had it at one time, but can't find it now.

Darkcyber, Superwipe will not touch your SD card. Doing so in a ROM flash would be catastrophic: the ROM you're trying to flash is ON the SD card! Superwipe formats four phone partitions: /data, /cache, /system, and /Dalvik. And that's all it does.

If you want to wipe your SD card, I do believe the best way is with a PC and format it.

Well, I planned on wiping the sdcard and then doing an adb of my rom back to my sdcard and then flashing the rom. My file system is so screwed up.
