What phone do you plan on upgrading to?

8 cores! Im sorry but that sounds ridiculous... I can't believe that people are actually expecting an 8 core phone this year. And what exactly do you plan to do with an 8 core phone? Quad is what we going to see for a while.
I have a suspicious thoughts about how young people accept the idea of more is better in everyway. In some cases yes but in some cases it ain't. Quad core became standard across all platforms.
Quad is practical and optimal. I suspect 2-2.5ghz low powered quad this year.

If im wrong.. Please feel free to kick me in the face..

I'm holding out hope for the Motorola X, Nexus X, whatever it's gonna be called. Just give me a way to unlock that bootloader and I'll be in high clover for a couple of years with it :D
Second this. Moto X sounds intriguing. But......Moto has a poor track record with some new devices. But if rumors are true, looks to be quite the phone.

I'd also highly consider a Samsung S4, unlocked and running AOSP of course. ;)

I'm definitely interested to see what the motorola/google marriage produces... I am convinced they have some secret stuff going down... Majel? X-phone? Whatever it is, if it isn't as straight AOSP as a nexus, it will probably be pretty developer friendly with Roms galore.

I'm "stuck" on VZW with unlimited data too... and I just can't give that up. If my Gnex bites the bullet, I will just buy an old used LTE phone that has good roms out...

So another GNex? ;)

I'm very pleased with my DNA, but I do miss how easy it was to play with my GNex. :(

The SG4 is rumored to have an 8 core Exynos 5 processor.
4 Cortex A15 cores and
4 Cortex A7 cores.

But this is all rumors.

OH!, and I am at the young age of 50, so don't give me any lip. ;)

I moved onto Razr HD late last year. It's great phone in terms of battery life, signal reception. But Moto sucks big on software department. Though new Blur looks like stock, it's super laggy compared to very smooth GS3, Note 2. So I think Samsung is better on UI optimization, updates now.

Moto X phone sounds nice but I'm a bit wary due to my RHD experience and leaning to GS4 or Note 3. I also wouldn't mind new LG flagship G pro. It looks almost perfect spec wise, but LG needs to step up their relation with US carriers.
