Can you verify the build version I realize there was a small update and many people thought it could of been a firmware update but wasn't so. So if your wife's stock gs3 says 4.1.1 or 4.1.2 then its confirmed.

its 4.1.2 bro come on I know the difference:9 and its not a ota you have to update it yourself

K guys it also has the multi windows......if you already try to update your software and it says its up to date wat you guys can do im not saying its going to work for every one but it worked for me on my note to update, just give it a shot....first go to settings go down to application manager then go to all look for google framework services clear data and force stop it once you done that go back to software updates and hit check now if it doesn't work keep trying it.It took me about 4 times for it to work but it doesn't harm anything so give it a shot and let us know if anybody was able to update...

I still get ota while im on stock root. Last one was for the its kernal last month , just had to unroot and root again did the update while on kies . Went all Perfect

It shouldn't. Only a custom ROM should affect OTA updates. I've never heard of stock root affecting OTA updates, heck we even got the 2.99 MB update and we were stock rooted. So no we can leave the root, although we will lose it once we update.

I didn't even have to unroot for the OTA to work, it said it had failed but still went through as the Kernel was now updated to the 2013 version. I just had to root again with the automatic root tool.

So our area got the OTA?

And only way to revert back to stock is through ODIN? Cuhs I spent the day going back to stock and then rooting my phone and installing cwm and flashing one of my backups don't wanna deal with the dumb computer again
