• After 15+ years, we've made a big change: Android Forums is now Early Bird Club. Learn more here.

My mum warned me about that forum. Isn't it where all the rough chaps hang out and are rude and sarcastic to everyone... I'd love to visit! :D

However, only one drawback... as a young, virgin, noob on Android Forums I unknowingly broke some of the rules... such as swearing. I used the, "B", word, (blimey), the, "C", word, (crikey), and, worst of all, the, "F", word, (flippin-heck).

After several warnings and infractions the Mod's, as is there want, ganged up on me and offered me 2 choices...

1. Suspension, (please don't ask what they threatened to suspend me by!), or

2. I could redeem myself by being polite, kind and helpful and if I reached 3,000 Thanks they would wipe the slate clean.

I, of course, chose the 2nd option and am working my way to that goal.

The Mod's, to ensure that I stuck to my part of the bargain, removed the keyboard key between, "Z" and "C", so that I could not visit the site that you mention, (*da developers).

So... there you have it. If you like this post, please press the Thanks button... every little bit helps!

(P.S. Does anyone know of any good se* chat lines?)

I'll give you one guess....

:beerglass:

Typical! Give a dog a bad name... Hawker has only emerged from his cave on Mount Doom in the Welsh Mountains, just to mock the afflicted.

As it happens, I realised yesterday that I had not been to confession since the end of last month and so I packed a picnic hamper and took a thermos flask of coffee and went to see the padre.

Translation: I spent the day in the pub "testing signal strength". ;)

Back on-topic, in deference to Sasa, I'm thoroughly enjoying this latest incarnation of Neat (LSS). Maybe too much - I did myself out of an S3 upgrade by showing it off to a customer. He took one look at my Nexus 4-lookalike, flipped through the screens a few times, and left determined to root his S2 and (perhaps) wait for the S4 to become more affordable. :)

I'm starting to well up with all of you being so nice... both on here and *da.

As Slug quite rightly pointed out... "Back on topic"...

Since mine is a, "working", phone, by which I mean that I actually use it as a phone and need it 24/7, both for work and recreation, I need battery life more than anything... after all, it's no good to me with a flat battery, it's just a door stop!

These last few weeks, whilst it has been a little quieter on the flashing front, I have had chance to use my phone, "normally", and have to say that both the NEAT ROM Lite LSN and LSS are without a doubt the best I've used in terms of look, feel and battery life. More so than any other ROM's I've tried.

The big surprise for me is that the best kernel that I have found so far is Siyah 6.0b4. More so than the beta5 version. It interacts very well with both NEAT ROM Lite and the JB Power Saving feature with the minimum amount of tweaking in STweak, see, here.

If this were to be the last combo I use before moving to another phone... then I would consider it as going out on a high note.

Ironass (and others ;)) , I see that you are swearing by siyah 6 b4 and I agree with you even though my phone achieved its best battery life on Neat LSD with Dori 8.13 on extreme battery profile with 5 hours and 35 minutes screen on.
Be that as it may, if you havent heard of Apolo kernel, you are missing out. It is a kernel based on Speedmod and has a few versions. It has support for crt off, bln, blnww, slide to wake and it has 4 or 5 versions with different levels of UV. For me the regular version was very stable, exceedingly smooth and battery friendly.
I hope you will check it out (if you havent already). It has TWRP recovery. And since I am a generous and amazing guy, I will give you (and all others) a link to it here :)

HTCMania - Ver Mensaje Individual - KERNEL [APOLO JB][4.5 Oficial][Volumen II][Solo ROMS de base SAMSUNG y JELLYBEAN]

It is not available on xda. Also, you will need an app from play store which is the Apolo version of stweaks. Here you go..https://play.google.com/store/apps/...GwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5wZWRlc3RyZS5jb25mYXBvbG8iXQ..

The benefit I see in this over Siyah or dorimanx is that you can apply UV presets from the Apolo configurator app and so its perfect for those who dont want to get into the nitty gritty.
So give it a whirl and thank me later ;) :)

I spoil you, old son ;) :D

:-(ok I'm having some troubles, lss didn't work as nicely as I'd have liked so I went for lsn as it had been working brilliantly for me previously....however I had a problem getting into the gallery app saying space was low etc, got that working with siyah....

So I'm trying to send a .gif picture from s4 to s2, tried via WiFi direct and Bluetooth, both keep falling stating low memory as the problem? I've got 9.5gb free space!

Any ideas people?

I am currently on freshly installed neat lss lite, did a full wipe in recovery, still on philz kernel. No mods. Only app downloaded was titanium backup and Rom tool box pro was restored using titanium backup(I'm using Mrs google account as I'm trying to set it up for her,I did pay for rtb pro, but don't want to sign my account in! Lol)

Nothing else added except some pictures which I can see are there in file manager, but not able to open gallery as it says I have no space!

Have you tried clearing data?
Settings/application manager/all/gallery
Settings/application manager/all/media storage

Just tried and no luck :-(

Should I try flashing stock again, then re root, basically start again? Like I say the phone is completely bare bones so I don't have any issues with any types of wipe. Just need phone to be running perfectly if I've to convince Mrs to use it! Lol

I flashed XWLSS Lite 4.7 and I had the "clear" button in the notification bar, but once I flashed the LSS bobdoblo mod, the "clear" button no longer appears.

I have wiped dalvik cache, cache partition and fixed permissions but none of this has brought it back. Does anyone have any ideas to fix and still keep the mod? I really like the blue theme and the style of the icons...

In the LSS bobdoblo mod the clear button only appears when there are notifications. When there are notifications the clear button appears as the staggered steps you seen in stock android. should be on the far top right corner.
