Root [ROM]{GB 2.3.7}187MoD-HoneyBread6 +[Kernel]Genocide 2.6.35.14 For Non-CM7 (4/11/12)

Skater, I have to give you some mad props on this Honeybread6 rom!! I was skeptical of change for a few months. Other than being rooted, the rom when I got my Prevail had regular 2.3.5 GB and I was using Link2sd to manage 200+ apps. It was quite tricky at times to juggle those apps without running low internally. I decided last week to try to flash ur Genocide kernel via CWM and did the necessary wipes (not data wipe tho) and upon reboot it never got past the first screen where it says Genocide kernel. At that point I just downloaded ur entire rom and used Titanium Backup to restore my apps and boy I gotta tell ya I love it! I can set it to 900mhz using ondemand and SIO but it will tend to reset itself after a while of even minimal use and I'm sure its because of the Otter box style case. It runs fine at 825 so far. I do have a question though. Is there any known issues with Market/Play and this rom? I noticed issues with market right off. It either would error out trying to download or update an app or it would say "downloading" and wait ten minutes before starting to download it. Once it finally started my d/l speeds would crawl along. Everywhere else, my data speeds were fine! So I manually updated to Google Play Store and the problem isn't so bad now speed wise but I do get the downloading issue every so often. Any ideas?? It is not a huge issue though. The rest of the rom more than makes up for it!

Also gotta point out that I love the ext4 upgrade and also that the internal storage is linked to my 2nd partition of 2gb without needing an app or run a script. :)

Thanks for a great release and thanks also to those who helped!

Also, CrackerTrek, try booting into CWM-recovery and let it sit a few seconds and reboot. Skater mentioned something about sometimes the 2nd partition not mounting on boot at times.

Sincerely,
Chuck

Just picked up a Prevail recently, and to be completely candid, after looking over the offerings, I jumped right at yours Skater. Partitioned my sd card for more room, fired the thing up and was insanely pleased with the results. Changed out to a TouchPal keyboard and I was set. Good job man, the whole package really just hit the mark dead on!

No doubt. The Skater did a great job when he put this ROM together. :D

Have been using CTMOD for a while, and my phone starting acting up again, so I decided to try a different ROM. I have to say I'm really liking this so far :D Phone is very responsive. I was a little worried about internal storage, since I was using the data option with CTMOD that gave me the additional storage we Prevail users so desperately need , but I looked through the thread, and partitioned my sdcard to give me an additional 2GB (automatically...SWEET!).

Tried the rom and loved it but was wondering can I change the 360 launcher out an put something else like adw? Can I just freeze 360 and just make adw the default? Or will that just screw up the phone? Thanks!

It won't screw anything up. Just make sure you're freeing it and not deleting it. If you delete the one that comes with the rom and do a factory reset you will have no launcher.

Another option would be to convert adw to a system app. You could then delete the other launcher.
