Noooooooooooo!! I'm so sick.. I thought I was getting better but I'm worse!! I told my mom we could go shopping and lunch today.. And we did .. All day .. And I've been sucking it up.. Because she is my mom and I love her

she wanted to run in the grocery store real quick ( which it never is)
so I'm sitting here in the parking lot with a fever and chills and I can barely breath I'm all stuffed up and I'm achy
I think I have the flu

All I want to do is curl up into a ball ..and sleep Right here... In the parking lot in the car

Well maybe they don't have as much willpower as you do. Shouldn't you be happy that they are at least cutting back on their critter consumption?

I didn't mean to sound like I think I'm better than anyone because I'm a veg. I don't.. It's my own personal choice..I don't look down on anyone for not being one..I don't try to change anyone..I have 2 growing boys and a hubby who are meat eaters! ( 2 cats and a puppy too)
I just don't like when someone proclaims themselves as something they are not..Why would anyone do that?? what's the point? .I don't understand it and to be honest it offends me.

Christmas can be all year round in China, it's not quite so seasonal.

When dealing with Xilinhot post office, "A foreign address? We don't know how to do that." It's easier to give the present on next visit to the UK, which is June, 2014. And it will ensure they actually get their present.

I respect Vegans - it's all about personal choices. I did the tofu-vegan thing when I was playing guitar and keys in a reggae band back in '86-87. I lasted a year or so; dropped a lot of weight - too much, actually, as I've been a lifelong Type-1 diabetic; many trips to the ER. Docs said that I needed to get back on meat, as there were certain amino acids lacking in beans and tofu, that would make my insulin WAY too effective - ketones, anyone? So, I rejoined PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals - insert laugh track here), and since then, they've come up with newer types of insulin that makes life so much easier... as a cancer survivor, I make sure that I get plenty of veggies... I now 'vape', instead of smoke - and I don't pass judgement on anyone (except for Dragon users who don't need it - it's a cop-out... hell, I'm 51 years old, and disabled - but I can still write, type, and tap - it must be the old-school in me). Leave the vegans with the flu bug be. Spread a little love and wonder around during this Holiday season. LW

For me, there was absolutely no willpower involved. Once I learned the facts about the atrocities committed against living, breathing, sentient beings in the meat industry, I stopped participating in it and never looked back. That was in August, 1988.

I can't speak for huh, but for me, yes, I am glad they're at least cutting back. But I cannot accept people calling themselves vegetarian if they consume the flesh of other sentient beings. So, like huh, I never get how people can say they're vegetarian BUT they eat chicken or fish or turkey or...whatever. :thinking:
