Hello everyone ill cut right to the point i rooted my Zte source using Kingo root app about a month ago and everything was fine and 3 days ago i installed a boot animation through rom toolbox and my phone now will not boot up i get black screen with flashing red light when i try to go into recovery mode by pressing and holding power and vol + it vibrates but stays at black screen and shows up on my pc as ZTE Handset Diagnostic Interface(DFU) (COM5) what do i do? Can i reset my phone?

I also have the same phone as you. To go to recovery, I think it is power, vol up, and home button all at same time and hold until recovery pops up. Question: did you make a backup with CWM by chance? If you did then you can restore your phone by flashing over the backup from your sdcard. If you did not, then that is as far as I can help. But others may interject to guide you to the solution.

i try to get into recovery mode and nothing comes up on my screen it just vibrates and i get a solid red light and a black screen fastboot dose not see my device so im stumped

Hey SuperR,
Is there any way you or someone else could create an unbrick tool for the ZTE Overture(becky)? It would be a great tool as I want to test cm11 and want to take all precautions. Btw, I already used this tool above to unbrick the Source and noticed there are many other phones covered in this version of the Unbrick Tool, just not 'becky'. It worked like a charm for the Source though.

Boot the source unbrick tool on your pc, plug in your becky device, and use "tester" as the device when you run the tool. If that works, I am happy to make one for becky

could not get becky into DFU mode. I tried holding down both volume buttons and power, blank screen WITHOUT the red light and tried to use 'tester' as codename. Any ideas on how to get it into DFU mode?

whoops, you said that is what you did lol. No clue then. Sorry

You could try the vol button that you DON'T use for cwm along with power. Other than that i have no idea.

hmmm, I tried this(vol - and power) and it says "FTM" in a white rectangle area...is this what I want?
