Root CM12.1 Unofficial Beta

People seem to be having an issue with this so just in case anyone wants to know all I did was install the version from Feb 25th and manually edit the key layout for the home button (Make sure you are using Lollipop TWRP when installing this). I haven't had any crashes or any issues in the 5 days it has been installed. Maybe Bad_Mofo can start uploading checksums so people can be sure their download isn't corrupted.

same here 2/25 clean flash , edited button issue and not a single random reboot or anything . Rock solid .
Only thing i have observed is signal vanished in between and comes back in 2/3 seconds

I was having that issue as well, after I flashed the 2/28 version.
But! I think I fixed it by going back into the radio menu and selecting "CDMA auto (PRL)" for the "preferred network ."
You could try that.

Edit: I may have misunderstood. My issue was the signal would repeatedly disappear, then come back, every thirty second or so.

I've been running the 2-28 build all weekend, runs great and is for the most part stable. I haven't gotten any random reboots, but some apps force close. Usually only when I'm messing around with settings in the app. Texting and MMS work just fine, calling too, and LTE works faster than my home WiFi connection sometimes! I also seem to be getting better signal overall.

For what its worth, my install process looks like this:
Wipe/factory reset
Flash cm12
Flash gapps
Flash zv5 radio
Flash Universal Boost APN Fix

I don't know if flashing the radio is necessary, and I haven't tried it without flashing the radio, but I've had working data first boot every time with doing it this way.

I haven't tested Bluetooth yet, NFC won't even turn on, and GPS seems to work, but I've yet to give it a road test.

Mines not so bad . Once in an hour for 3/4 seconds signal vanishes and comes back. you would only observe if you are continuously using it otherwise wouldn't notice it also .

You haven't had no side affects with those step for cm12??

I've followed every single way on here, and I can not get this rom to work. It stays on the boot logo and thats it.
Hey furryoflife, I just have two questions for you that may explain your issue. 1.Do you have custom recovery installed? 2.Are you formatting Data/Cashe before you flash? *Please Note: Make sure you backup if you don't want to lose all your data when a you format, which is required to flash any custom ROM on any android device. Hope this helps! :) -Jake

I was getting about 20 hours of battery life..mild use..Facebook, couple simple games, standard stuff.
Noticed NFC was taking about 18% of my battery use so I deleted it and I'm now getting close to 30 hours of battery use
Clean flash 2/25
Surprisingly mine NFC is 0 sec. Might be because i have not activated it even once . If i activate it once then there might be NFC wakelock .
Checked with Wakelock detector

I have the Lollipop TWRP Custom Recovery installed, and I am formatting everything but the SD. I also have a backup so nothing bad happens. I honestly do not know what the problem could be. I am flashing from the zv5 debloated custom rom. The zv5 rom gave me no problems what so ever.

Well it sounds like you are doing everything correctly, I use the same exact method with the same recovery, which option do you use after you select Wipe in TWRP, Advanced Wipe or Format Data? Also what carrier do you have, and could you take a screenshot of the terminal line after you attempt to flash? (You can take screenshots in TWRP)
