Accessories Am I the only one a little disappointed in the headphones?

Got my new S7 Edge on Wednesday and really haven't done much but transfer all my stuff over and attach it to my Gear 2 Neo. That being said, I must say I'm a little disappointed in the headphones. The earbuds I got with my S5 Active and S2 Skyrocket were really impressive for earbuds in their respective generations. It looks like they've jumped further on the Apple bandwagon by trying to make the earpod style headphones with a silicone cover plus they sound really crappy, even compared to my now 2 year old earbuds that came with my S5 Active.

I use the earbuds that came with my S5 for cycling, running (which I do like 3 times a year), and yard work. I've never had a problem with them. These fall out of my ears just sitting at my desk.

The "squishy silicone" style of the older earbuds is also much more comfortable, these are very uncomfortable if your ears aren't exactly the right shape.

The sound quality is mediocre at best, and I do mean for earbuds. I know they'll never sound like my JVC HA RX900s, but I would expect them to be at least on par with my old S5 headphones. There is zero bass and the highs are just this side of audible. The mids are not terribly impressive either. I mean, Beats sound better than these earbuds!

Anyone else as disappointed as I am?

Have to burn them in to get optimum sound. I do it to all my new headphones. There's a sound file called "pink noise" that sends static noise out which is supposed to be the entire range of sound so it hits everything on the speaker.

I attached it to this message. Run it on loop for at least six hours and I bet you have better sounding headphones.

No I'm not disappointed in any headphones that come with phones because I know they will be trash. I always use either my Sony Wireless or Bose ones.

Also makes it easier to resell the phone if the headphones and other accessories are still in their original packaging. So fussy cheapskates (tend to be from certain countries, won't name which ones) who want to squeeze every dollar out of the transaction will be happy.
