I'm a big believer in letting kids do what they do, even at the expense of failure rather than holding their hand for life. Case in point (and a bit of parental bragging) I have two nephews, both in their 30's still living 'at home' with no foreseeable future independence (by them or their parents). My son, now 26 is married, has a wonderful wife and son and owns his own house ... okay, the bank owns most of it

Is it easy? Hell no ... is it worth it? Abso-friggin-lutely.

Especially when its in the very back, bottom of your PC, with other cables intertwined, dark, dust-covered, etc...arggggggh
