Walking app.

I'm trying to find a simple walking app that i can just put in my start and finish points and it will tell me the total distance. Not interested in pedometers or steps or all the bells and whistles of mapping the walk with gps and calories etc. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I'm not sure whether either of these two could be considered as 'simple walking apps' but I have used them both extensively over the last few years for town/city walking and hill walking in North Wales and North West England :-

Particularly Osmand+, which makes it easy to create your own walking route.

Both use OpenStreetMap and, certainly in the UK, show all main walking/hiking paths.

Both will give you A to B distance and times with alternative routes where available.

Certainly worth checking out.
