I&#039;m doing well, older and fatter! <img src='styles/smilies/google/smilie.png' class='mceSmilie' alt=':)' title='Smile :)' />I remember that you taught singing as well as singing professionally if I remember correctly.I must say, the new forum setup has a steep learning curve! I had my favorites all setup in Chrome on my laptop and they&#039;re gone now, and my phone was setup in Tapatalk. I am trying to save forums in the new app but every time I try, it just shows all of my individual posts, thousands of them. LOL

Agreed. My relationship with the tech has changed. I am no longer it rooted user. I find that the great things about route have been appropriated in the mainstream ROMs. Plus I have no time for it and plus it does everything I needed to do. I even flirted with going over to iPhone. I feel like a free agent! I bought this Note 4 over two years ago and it still keeps up fine. I guess I'm more laid-back now about tech and stuff.

I'm accessing the forum about 50% of the time from my Galaxy Note 4 and the other 50% from my laptop I had the home page setup as my "favorites" page, but all of the links changed.

Steven, I also find no reason to root anymore, especially since you can now disable the stock apps that you never use which effectively removes them or at least you never have to see them. I love my note 4!

I'm still enjoying my Note 4 too. Now that phones aren't subsidized anyway I'll be hanging on to them a lot longer. I agree that it's great to be able to disable most apps, but I do miss the couple of root apps such as AdFree etcetera.

N E V E R !

How are you doing my friend? Spring and it's rains are a killer for me and the ol mow team. I'm keeping up but it's sure frustrating to sit one night and mow eight the next. It's a younger man's sport for sure. Been trying to do some fishing at the cabin but the river has been way up. It's perfect temps to be hanging out down there so no big complaints.

This rain has been INSANE!!!!

But I've been great! New house late last year so this is first opportunity to do landscaping (i hate it) and wife to do flower beds and mulch. Started completely from scratch in the back and it is looking amazing. Dug out my firepit Saturday and got first 2 layers of rocks in. Total novice here so its been touch and go, haha

Doing it yourself is the fun part.. bwahaha. Seriously, though it's not fun there is a certain amount of pride you can take when company admires your landscaping. The firepit sounds cool. You will have to share a pic when it's done. I have a huge firepit down at the cabin. It's around three foot deep and ten foot in diameter. Big enough that even with a crowd there is room for everyone. There is just something magical about watching a fire burn. I think it carries back to our beginnings. We haven't started chanting and dancing around a big fire down there yet but we've been darn close. :)

I spent most of the holiday down at the river. I had a number of couples down to party. Nothing wild.. at my age a good lie or two is as wild as I get. But we had a great time, shared some good meals, got far to little sleep, and I've been draggin butt ever since.
One friend caught a few catfish. I never bothered to fish. The river is still big and it's hard to fish when it's running like that. It's just fun to be in the woods... especially with good friends.

Amen, to everything you said. The smell of a fire reminds me of simpler times, in my own life as well as in the world as a whole.

And though it has been a HUGE pain doing everything from scratch, the sense of accomplishment is astounding. Usually the wife does it all as she loves flowers and plants and all of that. This year I'm more involved, and can enjoy everything so much more knowing I broke my back helping...

Let me dig up a before and after... And firepit in training...

That's looking great Nick. So nice and clean and uncluttered. You did good my friend. You should be proud. Your efforts were well invested. You will have you some good times back there. Life gets by way too fast. It's good to know you are so handy. How about coming by my place. :)

I'm good at consulting? HAHA! I really don't like doing the manual labor part. I'm a computer guy, didn't use to own tools. Now I know just enough to be almost dangerous. We actually just paid someone to finish that lattice you see. I'm no carpenter, nor do I have the patience for that. Plus *** the heat, haha

But thanks. We are rather proud and are *almost* done. The 14 trips to home depot a week are getting old. I actually wedged 1x4x10's in my lexus, and since the seats dont lay all the way down, had to get my wifes corolla to load 1x12x10's.
They fit though! haha (this was last night)

You are having far too much fun. It's the adventure that makes chasing life worthy of one's time. I see an old ford pickup in your future and a garage full of implements of destruction lol.
I'm third generation carpenter. I had the chance to do different but so enjoyed the creativity and as well as the physical challenge of it all that I followed my dear ol pap. There is nothing wrong with working.
Man was designed to labor. I find that my friends that have taken an easy path through life are now suffering. There is nothing wrong with being clever enough to survive without callouses and a sore back.. don't get me wrong. But do keep yourself fit if you don't toil.
Your landscape efforts are a grand example. Something that taxes you physically some and you break a sweat here and there. It's good for you. And... by gosh it looks great!

That's what I keep telling myself. Lazy is a way of life, and one that I love(d). But the sense of pride after a weekend of sweating and working (which is new to me) was rather satisfying.
We have actually been looking at SUV's for this purpose, and really for any time we buy anything bigger than my trunk.

Will one of you old-time mods come to the aid of this poor, worthless drone? I am about to give up using this forum out of pure frustration! I have tried to use the new Android forum app to no avail. It opens to my "favorites" but when I access the forum with my laptop, I can't set a form as favorite, I can only "watch" the forum, and the Android app doesn't show me my watched forums. What's a Borg to do?

Also, if I tap on "Forums" in the app, I get a long list of the installed apps on my Note 4! What's that about?

OK, rant over (for now) :D

How is everyone enjoying the long weekend?

Hey Musky. Happy 4th to ya. I wish I could tell you all about the mobile app but I never access the site mobile. I don't do any forums mobile. I should, no doubt, but I don't. Even though the layout and forum access is a bit different than the old AF it is still very much the same from a PC browser. Logging in you should access the home page. You should see your favorites listed and you should find a box to add additional favorites if you desire. I know that info doesn't help your mobile problem. I should be of more help but I've not used the mobile browser. Sorry.

If you go to desktop there is a favorites section on the left where you can add threads. That is the only way I've done it myself.

Thanks NightAngel, but I cannot ad this topic (Droid incredible lounge) to my "favorites". It will only allow me to add the whole Android lounge, not this specific thread?
Ahh yes, I thought you meant favorite-ing a entire forum. In the app, if you've posted in a thread it should be int he 'my stuff' section of the app. Honestly I just use the desktop web version, but I get notifications for posts in 'my threads'
