Any regrets buying the Note 8? Maybe want the Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL?

No regrets ever. I have used the following Samsung android phones, Note 3, 4, 5, 7, S7 edge, and now the Note 8. I have used a couple Motorola phones in the past, but always came back to Samsung quite rapidly. I don't consider myself a fan boy, but I will tell you this, they have been the best for my personal experience and preference, and I don't even consider other phones anymore. They offer so much more than the competition. Unless you're an android purist, I do not now, nor ever have understood the pixel hype. They're ugly, boring and don't even have expandable storage.

I've had the iPhone from the 4 to the 7Plus, Apple TV, MacBook Pro, iPad Pro and a Apple Beta tester and I did a lot of thinking about the iPhone X but it didn't interest me so I went out one day and got the Note 8. There was a little learning curve but in the 3 weeks that I've had it I never regret buying it. Very happy with the size and screen resolution just an awesome phone.

I've had every iPhone and every Note and a few Htc's and this Note 8 is my most favorite phone out of all! I wouldn't even consider giving up this feature rich phone for a pixel. Uh uh. No way. I've been gushing about this phone since day one. I'm even getting the hang of Bixby. I'm currently addicted to redeeming my rewards points to spin the wheel for prizes lol! Every time you use bixby to handle something you get reward points you can use to gamble with. It's fun. Haven't won anything yet though. This phone is so much fun.

I've been waiting for the Note 8 for some time, a worthy upgrade from my Note 4, no other phone interests me, I love the Note 8.
There will always be a better spec phone released after the Note 8 but it won't have the S pen, next phone with that will be the Note 9.

Not interrsted in the Google pixel 2.
V30, nice phone, wide angle camera, nice sound, nice looking but no S pen.
Edit
Also I've been looking at phones with the Finger print sensor in the middle and trying to reach that with my finger and to be fair, I'm much more comfortable using it exactly where it is on the Note.
In the middle I would tend to use the tip of my finger as the sensor would be further back than my finger would rest.

I love my note 8.I had bought the note 7 and passed my note 4 down to my grown daughter. So when I was forced to give it back I was stuck with an edge 7 plus. Let me tell you that there is no stylus on earth comparable to the one that comes with a note phone. I know, practically bought them all while waiting for the note 8. I am so freaking happy with my note 8 I doubt it would bother me if it couldn't make phone calls!

Just kidding, that would suck!!!

I seriously make like one phone call every two weeks. Usually because I have to for some dumb reason.

The Samsung Note 8 is the Swiss Army knife of phones: just a beautiful, feature-packed monstrosity of fun and functionality. I purchased mine from Samsung Direct and received a $300 discount for trading in my trusty LG G4 and got a free Gear 360 to boot. I have an LG V20 to cover the wide angle thing while my Note's dual camera set up nicely covers the zoom shots. This is just an all around great piece of technology and I'm so glad I purchased it. Hats off to Samsung.

Hell no not a troll post, great post!

I love my Note 8. I've shot underwater videos a few times with it and will do more as I clean the fish pond through stages ;) I use it for all videos and pictures and it is fast, pretty good quality, and i'm not having a space issue yet with no SD.

It charges fast, esp when in a bind (low end charges real fast), and a first for me - I can actually SEE and use it outside in the sun!

My only complaints are probably fixable - the bixby button should be map-able to a plethora of actions to choose from, Bixby should be completely disable-able in all regards. The edges of the screen are too sensitive. I would like to be able to disable touch on edges and just have it display.

Power saving mode is incredible, if ONLY you could use hangouts on it, I would be set.

I do miss the way the gallery on the n4 worked especially for cleanup, going through and deleting pictures. For example on this phone you must open a picture, view, back out, to select or view full screen. On n4 I could open full screen image and select or deselect from there, and scroll left and right with as swipe.

Now it's a PITA to look at a group of similar pics to choose the best couple to say.

But ,all that say, I love it, best phone I've ever had hands down.
