How can I relock bootloader when phone is in boot loop? will I lose my data? : ( people please help me : ( life is strange the strangeste thing happedened the htc 10 was working fine untill it was running low on storage space and the phone battery died and I turn phone back on and htc 10 has been in boot loop for almost 2 weeks : (

Why do you want to relock the bootloader? And why is it unlocked?

If it's unlocked because you installed a custom recovery, go into that and back the phone up. While you are there try using advanced to copy anything important from the internal memory to a computer, because most things you can try to fix it will wipe the phone.

Whether you have a custom recovery or not you could go into recovery and wipe the cache (just cache). There's a slim chance this will fix it, and this won't lose any data.

Otherwise you could try a factory reset from recovery, but that will remove everything on the phone. If the reason you want to relock is to reflash the phone using an RUU that will also wipe the phone (I don't think relocking does on HTC, though I'm not certain, but reflashing certainly does). If you have a custom recovery you could try flashing a stock ROM from recovery (can probably find one at xda-developers), which might work without a wipe.

As for how you relock, you use fastboot for that anyway, whatever state the phone is in. Press and hold the power button to force a restart (break the bootloop) then keep the volume down button pressed as it restarts. That should get you into the bootloader, possibly already in the right mode, if not you'll be able to choose it from there. Then you can use fastboot from a computer (over usb) to relock.

If that also does not work holding Volume Up and Down at the same time takes you straight into the bootloader. Sadly, unless you are S-OFF, there is not a lot you can do from this menu. I dont think it accepts the fastboot commands, particularly fastboot flash commands. But if you can get into the bootloader, and then try each option, download, recovery, etc.

If you get into the recovery, it will be stock (unless you flashed a custom ROM). You have to press volume up twice to access the options, but if you get stuck, hold volume down and power and the touch keys on the bottom flash. After about 15 flashes the phone reboots.

I have very similar htc 10 issue : (
