Does anyone else have a steady 4G signal in LA? I'm on it right now. I tested it and I can use data on the browser while on a phone call. Average speed so far is 2700 kbps down (highest I've seen is 3300 kbps) and 1000 kbps up. But definitely 4G! The 3G on my phone doesn't come close.

I'm in Hollywood, I had 4G in my Radioshack too, but I thought the store was just a hot spot. But I'm at my apartment and it's working fine.

There has to be 4g signal available for the repeaters in the radio shack
    to work..

If a city does not have 4g the repeaters are useless.

Ahh, I see. That's awesome. Is it fully live or still testing? I'm hoping the speed will get a bit faster.

LA does not have 4G (yet) AFAIK, but I'm sure they are rolling it out/in pilot, so maybe that is what you folks are seeing. Anyways, I'm happy for you. Here in Austin, Clear has already rolled it out across the entire metro area but sadly I live like 5-10 mins outside of the 4G zone. :(

Dang. I hope they can expand 4G really quickly. I just got 4700kbps download, but the speed range seems to vary a lot.

I am also able to get a 4G signal in my house in hollywood. Full bars and maxed out at about 3.5-4.5mbps with the speedtest.net app. But it seems to be in a limited area. I tested silverlake and echo park and got nothing there. Downtown seems to have some coverage also

I had heard that L.A. market was set for roll-out sometime this summer. I imagine that they won't just flip a switch, so the market will come on 4G slowly.

Sprint has said, in the OC Register, that the initial LA market will go as far south as Irvine. (Yeah!!) I would imagine that Irvine will be rolled out toward the end of the install.

Does anyone know how far north and east the 4G LA market will include?

I'll test it tomorrow, I work in Westwood. But from what I've read it's harder to get a 4G signal in an office building... So we'll see.

I stay around 4th and Chicago.

My signal here is labeled "good". Did a couple of speed tests tether and not.

These were tethered using PdaNet on Macbook Pro. Just trying to get the word out that some parts of the eastside might have 4g signal!

Seriously? YES!!! But dear god Sprint better do something about getting their signal to our houses in Irvine because they sure as hell are having tons of trouble right now and had to give me an Airrave. I guess our houses have more insulation?

Pulled Excellent signal quality while walking along street at Olympic and Bundy. Once inside my office, the signal drops to Good.

I've gotten nothing at all in Santa Monica (Ocean Park area) yet. Anyone get anything in Santa Monica / Venice area?
