Are there not a timer on the camera? This is very strange, on my old W595 I could activate a timer on the camera, but none such function seems to be found on this phone

best option i would say is download vignette from android marketplace

Also, does this phone have Zoom?? Seems missing to me

With the exception of a few phones in the last 5-6 years, no phone camera has a zoom. Digital zoom is pointless, and you can easily zoom in on any part of a photo later on to get the same 'result' (which is a horrid, pixilated mess).

There may be third-party apps (such as the one mentioned above) but until I get a phone with an OPTICAL zoom, I will never use such a feature and prefer not to have it there to accidentally use.
