Help Cant connect Samsung Galaxy to my pc

HI all

I'm desperate,
I'm trying to connect my android to my pc,
and it does not connect using the formal driver i download from Samsung website, and it does not work with win-xp or win7,

when I connect the phone,
the software will not see it as connected.

hey der......connect ur mobile via USB cable....then open settings-apps-development-usb debugng-on
ok....try it.....

If you are just looking to transfer files, try using debug mode instead. Go to settings, application, development and turn on debugging mode. Now plug your phone into the PC, pull down the notification bar and select transfer file to and from.
