Help Can't play videos

Recently installed Gingerbread.
I have recorded a bunch of videos using the phone's camera but they won't play back.
The circle spins and that's it. If I hit the play button, it turns to pause.

The videos can be played on my computer but not the phone.

Any ideas?

I haven't a clue why, but after closing the app and re-opening a few times, I can now play the videos.
These are very strange machines!
