Root [CDMA] Moto G Stock 4.4.4 and 5.1 Soak Tests {Boost Mobile}

As I'm on a stock locked bootloader/recovery, I was hoping that the Part 1 Soak (unmodified) will install cleanly to the 5.0.2 Soak I have (Stock installed from 4.4.4 stock). I would try it, but the thread doesn't appear to contain a link to the unmodified 5.1 Part 1 (only part 2).

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance (as since I'm on stock 5.0.2 with a locked bootloader on an xt1031, I can't seem to go down, up, or sideways, there seems to be nothing I can do).

Michael
Part 1 is old, use part 2. It's the 2nd 5.1 soak test.

Link works perfectly. It is the redirect which seems to be broken on this forum.

Ah thanks, copy and pasting the text in your post did the trick...

Stupid question, but why is the MEGA file the same name as the 5.0.2 soak test?

Just tried flashing, but it looks like it can only be flash from either 4.4.4 or 5.1, anybody know how to flash the latest update from 5.0.2 soak test?

You can't until SuperR makes a rom with it. The updater script looks for either 4.4.4 firmware or the second 5.1 soak test firmware or it will fail to install. You'll have to install SuperR's 5.1-2 unmodified ROM and the stock recovery to update.

This update won't flash over the 51-2 soak test. I get a build fingerprint error in recovery. So don't waste you time flashing the 51-2 rom to install it. I'm gonna try flashing the 4.4.4 unmodified rom and see what happens. There must be plans for a different update or no update at all for testers I guess.
Can someone who installed this update pull unmodified system, boot, radio, and stock recovery?

Well look at that, suddenly it works again. Lots of people (not just me) have not been able to unlock Boost Moto Gs in the past few weeks to month.
The Boost Moto G is absolutely unlockable. I've unlocked 4 of them myself.

Go to Motorola's forum and get the bootloader unlock zip. Follow the instructions to unlock your bootloader. (Only works on 4.4.4)

@SuperR after numerous failed attempts to install that update, I remembered my wife's old phone with a broken touch screen digitizer but still on 4.4.4. I managed to just barely see what I was doing in recovery and got it installed and a TWRP untouched system and boot backup.

Edit: I have the system.img now if you'd rather have that let me know and I'll upload it. Here's flashables of the other pulled img's:

Sorry to bump this.

So, I can't update to the latest if I'm on the 5.1 soak test from this thread? How would I go about getting it then? I would need to go down to 4.4.4 and then flash it? Is there a guide somewhere on how to go down to 4.4.4 without bricking or anything? Would I need to modify the partition table like I did when I went to 5.1?
