Change notification bar?

Is there a way to change my notification bar to add the date along with the time? I'd rather not root my phone to do this, so is there any other way?

I don't think there is. The notification bar is in the OS Framework and has to be manually altered then flashed onto the phone I believe. The flashing can only be done with root as far I know.

This cannot be done stock, it would take rooting and a custom deodexed rom to be able to do it.

If you need to know the date you can just click the notification bar and it'll show it. I know, only a temporary solution.

Perhaps it's an option on one of the many home screen replacement options?
