Help changing icons for email and text messages

Hi,

Does anyone else notice that the notification icon for a new email and a new text message appear very similar?

On most phones, the text message appears as a gold envelope and emails as a white one.

On the new S 3, they both appear as white envelopes.

Has anyone found a way to change these icons?

im pretty sure he means the icons in the notification bar, im having the same problem telling the difference between a text and an email. Is there any way to change them?

To clarify, do you mean if you have a new email and sms at the same time, when you pull down the notification area, and view the notifications for both, the icons on the left look too similar?

If so, the default icons cannot be changed without root and some sort of themeing work done. I'm not sure, but perhaps installing either a 3rd party SMS or Email app would change the icon

When i receive and email or a text its hard to tell which one it is by looking at the notification bar, before i drag it down, because they both appear with a very similar envelope icon.

Install Nova Launcher Prime and customize any icon!

Launchers do not change any icons in SystemUI.

I know what I have based on the color of my LED. Phone on or off, makes no difference. Why aren't you guys using Lightflow?
