Help delayed/malfunctioning keyboard

I am new to my Hero and like it for the most part except that recently I have had several incidents when I try to type an email or text message and while the the keyboard comes up, it will not actually type. I can even see the predictive text and have tried to select word that way but nothing shows up in text box of the email or text message. I can type a whole sentence and the word predictor will show each word but none of it sticks.
Is anyone else having the same problem and does anyone know a solution

Yes - I used to have that Problem - Believe it is an HTC Sense Issue. Try Downloading LauncherPro From the market. set it as your Default Home System - and HAVE FUN CUSTOMIZING YOUR NEW PHONE.

You can also try ADW - it seems to have more "themes" on the market - but isn't as smooth.

i get that every once in a while too, and i am using LP

That happens to me every once in a while. It hasn't happened as much since I deleted a whole bunch of my text messages. The only way I found to fix it was just to back out to the main text screen again and then try again.
